If you guys value online anonymity (I know that you do, you're on Tumblr) you're going to want to blow up over this bill that's getting a full Senate vote TODAY. Call your state senators, email them, call online privacy experts, direct messages at them on socials, because this bill is extremely dangerous for your online wellbeing if you're in the states, but also has broad, widespread impact anyone who ever uses an online platform, which is you. It sounds fantastic on the surface, but it's not.

This bill was written and funded by Hollywood affiliated baroness Beeban Kidron and her billion dollar 5Rights UK business and was pushed through Congress in maybe as little as a week. I'm not an expert; I'm concerned. Anyway. The bill proposes that you verify your age, on every website, through a third party by sending them a picture of your government ID. This means no being anonymous, and very very tight data monitoring and decryption of your chatlogs. Do something.
