Hi, C! Your drawings look so dynamic and pleasant to the eyes. One thing that always catches my attention is the way you draw hands, any tips on how to draw them or how you go about it?
I've actually received a few similar questions too before and I always got a hard time finding an easy way to simplify the explanation because to me drawing hand is like drawing a whole mini body that's attached to the main body 😭 It has its own angles, motions, foreshortenings, anatomy, details, etc, and I think a quick tutorial won't cover all of those unless the question is more specific :') And if you ask me how I go about drawing hand I just draw it the same way I draw bodies (making messy sketches first to determine the overall shape of the hand and then drawing the details later)
But I found this tutorial made by @/Qinniart, reposted via EtheringtonBrothers and I think it has pretty much all you need to know about drawing hands!
I hope it helps Anon and I'm so sorry I can't give you more than this 😭 As much as I love drawing hands it's the only thing that's hard to explain for me. The easiest way to draw a perfect hand is by following a reference, and if the pose is more specific you can use your own hand as a reference!
Do you have a recipie for the eggplant feast... my mother is interested.
Please and thank you
We did not find pine nuts so we just used almonds. You will want some kind of nuts in there at the end because it adds a very nice textural contrast. Almonds was real good.
hey. don’t cry. crush two cloves of garlic into a pot with a dollop of olive oil and stir until golden then add one can of crushed tomatoes a bit of balsamic vinegar half a tablespoon of brown sugar half a cup of grated parmesan cheese and stir for a few minutes adding a handful of fresh spinach until wilted and mix in pasta of your choice ok?
PEACE AND LOVE!!!!!!!!
Found a flatbread recipe that instantly reminded me of you: youtube com/watch?v=RZTjR5OKBO8
Let's goooooooooooooooo
lmao love that you started instantly
I saw the video at 20:20 in the evening and thought “...wait if I go soak lentils right now I can blend them at midnight and make flatbread for breakfast tomorrow”
So I Did.
I was like "wait if I go soak lentils right now I can blend them when i get off work and make flatbread at midnight."
Funny story: we only had the red lentils in the house because Large Bastard has been making noise about trying a Food Wishes recipe for red lentil soup for a while.
So how was the flatbread for breakfast?
I’ll know tomorrow at breakfast :D
(I sent the video to you immediately after seeing it because it was simply You, then went to soak the lentils. We are now an hour past midnight and my blended soaked lentils are in the fridge)
Ah, so I may know before you do but only because I don't sleep properly. I'll let you know whether or not a cast iron pan is non-stick enough for the recipe because I don't think I actually on a proper non-stick pan.
One of the easiest snacks I used to eat when I was a kid before I had figured out all the allergies was a tortilla warmed up on the stove with a little butter and cinnamon sugar sprinkled on it and then rolled into a tube and none of the g-free/corn-free flatbreads i've tried yet have been similar enough to a tortilla to make it work, but the lentil flatbread looks like it's a pretty good approximation of the correct texture!
Cast iron IS non-stick enough, but the video is correct about waiting long enough to flip them: they release really well when they're cooked enough and really poorly when they aren't.
Mine are a bit thick, and while they tasted good with cinnamon sugar they didn't roll up well. They seem like they'd work well for tacos or as a replacement for naan (I might brush the next batch with garlic butter then make saag paneer to go with them).
They have a very slight pumpkiny flavor, and a mild peppery smell, and are VERY filling.
Thank you for the recipe! I can already tell that this is going to become a staple for me, and I'm absolutely going to be experimenting with them and seeing what happens if I add grated zucchini or green onions or shredded potatoes to the batter.
BTW, for folks who don't want to click through, the recipe is 1c red lentils, 2c water, and salt to taste (I'd use no more than 1/4 teaspoon, but I don't like much salt).
Soak the lentils in the water for 2 hours, then blend into a smooth batter. Put the batter in a bowl and stir in salt, then refrigerate for 8 hours. Remove from the refrigerator, whisk to recombine separated batter, which should be slightly thicker than it was prior to refrigeration.
Lightly oil a non-stick pan and heat to medium, then ladle batter into the center of the pan and spread until you've got something like a thin pancake. Cook for 2 minutes (until edges are firm) and loosen around the edges with a spatula before flipping (should come loose with minimal effort when it's ready to flip), then cook for two more minutes. Re-oil the pan (lightly) between flatbreads.
I used half the recipe and it made 5 flatbreads that were about 5-6 inches across and 1/4 inch thick.
