it’s not just a mojo dojo casa house. its a mojo dojo casa home
I don't know how popular Barbies are with modern generations but I really appreciated how barbie appealed to moms who grew up with barbie, by focusing on a mom who loved barbie, and also.
Their more cynical, socially aware daughters, who didn't necessarily play with Barbies but could grow to appreciate them.
And even to grandmothers who might've played with Barbies, because it focuses so much on how aging is a beautiful thing.
Loved it. Loved how good it was at marrying femininity and womanhood and feminism, while still capable of appealing to all ages.
*everyone talking about how the end of the barbie movie was actually really sad, emotional, and heartfelt*
*me who's first thought leaving the theatre was where can I buy a "i am kenough hoodie"*
girls when they remember it all too well
The way men are being completely misogynistic and calling Margot Robbie "mid" and "ugly" when she's playing a strong, independent, female lead, but we're completely and totally in love with her when she played a mentally ill woman who was in an extremely abusive relationship totally disgusts me.
anyways, live, laugh, love barbie 💖 💕 💓
Barbie movie never said "we need to stop men" it said "we need to stop toxic masculinity" and if that made you feel called out I got some news for you

We're not appreciating the Weird Barbie enough. It's said in the movie that she helps everyone who need help while they always see her as someone who's not as good as them. She was friends with all dismissed Barbies and Kens, was there to offer support and safe shelter for everyone who needed it in Kendom, without her nothing in the movie would've been alright. When Stereotypical Barbie calls her "ugly and unwanted" she still helps her.
She was representing a woman in women's world who was pushed aside by other women because she didn't fit in but still had more wiseness and kindness than everyone who thought they're better than her.
It’s important to recognise that Barbie (2023) criticises both the patriarchy AND the matriarchy. Yes, the Ken’s are just accessories to the Barbies. Yes, they don’t have any say in the government they live under. That’s the point, you’re supposed to feel awful, you’re supposed to want the Kens to have their own agency, you’re supposed to want equality. The Barbie movie explicitly states that the way Barbie treats Ken is wrong, so much so that once he finds a safe space for his masculinity and individual identity he’s so excited to share it with the other Kens.
But they go overboard and replace a matriarchy with a patriarchy and now the same issue exists but in reverse. That’s the POINT!! THATS THE POINT!!! Barbie is not anti-men it’s pro equality PLEASE understand this
a very special shout-out to Allan for existing
My church learning the terms 'cancel culture' and 'woke' was the worst thing to ever happen to me
the youths nowadays, they cancel everyone. But god doesn't approve of cancelling. He says to love your neighbor, not cancel him 🙏
You know, they cancelled Jesus too

This isn’t saying you shouldn’t write bad or sad stories or anything, but from Gaster’s perspective as a character in those stories of course he’d want “happy” endings, haha.
But anyway, I kept telling you guys that when Handplates was over I would tell you. Well… here we are. After seven long years, here we are.
When I started I never thought I’d make it. To be honest, it doesn’t feel real to me at all. My brain still expects to do another page in about two weeks as it always does. I assume it’ll take a while to sink in. There’s a lot to say but this post is already incredibly long (sorry), so it’s probably suited to its own post.
But for all of you out there who read this story, whether you were there from the beginning or just came in now, thank you so much. And for all of you that were inspired by this comic, who created things for it, who blessed me with so many amazing gifts of art and fic and music and dubs and videos and so much more… I don’t know how to thank you enough. I never dreamed that an idle idea could have come this far or had such an impact on my life and so many people, but it did.
I kind of feel at a loss for words… again it’s very surreal. But I will say that Gaster wondering whether the kid is an actual human or not has an unintended level to it since my avatar is a fox but it’s TOO LATE NOW I GUESS lol.
( About how it’s a long, long, long journey that we’ve been on And it’s a long long long story that shall be told And it’s a long long day, and we’ve come a long long way But there’s still a long way to go
It’s a long long long way It’s a long long strong way It’s a long long long way Forward - [x] )
