Animation networks were really up to something during 2010-2013
Was just watching Empire, and Yoda says he has trained Jedi for 800 years. Yoda was 900, and Grogu is 50, does that mean he is going to have a growth spurt and start talking and acting like an adult in Din's lifetime??
For what it's worth, despite all the issues that exist, I really enjoyed these shows. In another world, they continued and are very fondly remembered and have spawned so many other reboots. I am gonna be happy with that and move on.
MidJourney Art
These six paintings have been completely generated by an AI. The prompts for these were 'War of...' followed by the animal that you see in art. It's so fascinating that you could get such complex artworks in minutes!
Stuff kids on tumblr better relearn
1. You are responsible for your own media experience.
2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.
3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.
4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.
5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.
6. Content creators are not your parents and owe you nothing, not even a breakdown on why their content isn’t problematic. You don’t get to demand a dissertation denouncing any and everything unhealthy in a piece you don’t like. Move on.
7. Tagging is a nicety but not an obligation. You can message people, politely, and ask them to tag things, and many people will, but understand that it’s their blog and they aren’t obliged to say yes. Unfollow and block when you need to. Circling back to number 1, you are responsible for curating your own experience.
8. Don’t be a jerk. Remember at the end of the day, there are actual living, breathing people behind each screen name. Don’t say anything you wouldn’t say to someone’s face in real life.
I cannot stress enough how important it is to remember this.
It would never not be hilarious to me that if you run the Tournament of Power in real time, Vegeta tried to unlock Ultra Insticnt for just a few seconds before giving up and beating the shit out of everyone.
REBLOG if you have amazing, talented WRITER friends.
Because I certainly do, and I love every single one of them and their work.
Here’s an idea, Warner Bros. Discovery
resienseRemember when Animal Planet aired a bunch of documentaries that were not real?
There was a really good one, about Dragons, and then there were the other ones that caused like a shit storm.
if a remember correctly, there was one about Megalodon, and then some follow ups that showed on Shark Week. Then there was one about Mermaids which also had a follow up, and the there was one about Cannibals in the Jungle, where there was a tribe of hobbits that had killed tour guide and an American scientist, and the third guy with them was put into jail.
Now, misinformation and deceit aside, i think these were great little thought experiments. And looking at the manner in which streaming movies are taking off, and how cheap it is to produce these kind of things, wouldn’t be great if they followed the map made by The Last Dragon and do a series of films in the form of fictional documentaries on these things? I mean they said they would stop, and they clearly aren’t, and the Megalodon documentary pulled in like a butt load of viewers, so you know it works.
What i am saying is: make a series of obviously fake documentaries (or hell, full fledged movies) about a world where these documentaries are actually true! like hell yeah Dragons went extinct and now universities are scrambling to recover remains for their museums and study. The Government is trying to cover up the existence of Mermaids. Megalodons have been lurking in the seas, still extant. And there are uncontacted cannibalistic tribes in the hear of the forest that are actually an isolated tribe of Homo Floresiensis.
You are telling me an Indian-Jones-meets-the-Mummy-meets-the-Monsterverse type franchise around these ideas won’t work? Get on this Discovery (and for god’s sake make sure you tell your audiences it’s fictional this time)
OKAY I M8 BE LATE TO THE PARTY BUT IS ORPHEUS IN HADES A SANDMAN REFERENCE!?!?!?

Water Lions: Speculative Evolution
i recently came across this article from 2013 about an isolated species of Lions in the Okavango Delta that have grown pretty big thanks to their environment, which needs them to almost always tread through water to get from one place to another, and mostly feed on water buffalos. A result of these environmental factors causes them to bulk up a lot, and that got me thinking about developing a sort of mini speculative evolution project. What if we were to place some similar lions in a bigger environment of the similar nature with water buffalos?
The first adaptation that comes to mind is a change in fur. a more oily coat would allow the cats to shed water more easily. Apart from that, the fur itself would become a little curlier.
Now, assuming that this environment stays stagnant, one would assume that lions would become better swimmers, putting on even more muscle, which would also help against water buffalos, similar to Bengal Tigers in the Sundarbans.
It is safe to assume that Water Buffalos won’t be the only things that the cats feast on, as the delta is also abundant in fish, which the lions could tap into as an alternative food source. They could develop adaptations that help them see more clearly in the delta water, bigger lungs that would let them hold their breath longer, and stronger hearts that pump the oxygen rich blood through out their body with greater efficiency. They would also become more stockier, allowing them to be better swimmers.
so i suppose what i am essentially imagining here are lions with darker coats (that help them blend into the water) who are great swimmers, can hold tier breath longer, are sturdier and stockier, (sort of like half dwarf lions). What I also think could happen is that the males lose their manes, allowing them to become better swimmers.
Of Course, the males will still be significantly larger, and would get larger still on the steady diet of water buffalos and fish. This wouldn’t necessarily mean they would become giants like ligers or something, but they could definitely approach tiger sizes, if not being off by a few kilos on average.
