The furniture brand for comfort and timeless designs N E W C L A S S I C S

Jon Gasca designer explains us the details of STUA Calma: Calma lounge is the result of the search for a light, weatherproof, outdoor comfort. For the frame we use the strongest and most durable material: stainless steel. The armrests are flat, so we can leave our phone or drink. The arms have a curved shape that embraces us; and are made of black or white HPL that match the structure. The foam is Dryfeel, which allows water to pass through and dries quickly. The fabrics of Calma are made of polypropylene, which is the best material for outdoor use. The supporting sling is hidden inside the upholstery and is made of resistant Batyline netting.Calma has a headrest attached to the upholstery. This cushion can be used for a more active position, such as reading, and pulled back for a more relaxed attitude. The simple ottoman has a hidden inner base made of HPL, so it can be used as a footrest, as stool or even as a table.Calma is stackable, both with and without upholstery.

As you can see, we have tried to make a different kind of armchair that makes comfort paramount. CALMA: www.stua.com/design/calma

Daniel Chalmeta, from the Meta team, invites us to his home in the heart of Madrid, under one of the most beautiful cupolas of Gran Via.The apartment is a large open space that includes kitchen, dining room, living area and bedroom. Daniel has created an interior with hardly any colours and with a few well-chosen pieces of furniture such as Globus chairs by a Deneb table. A ROOM LIKE NO OTHER The new Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh has an event room, like no other, called Greyfriars Hall. This former medieval church, with vaulted ceilings, has been thoughtfully restored to make it a unique destination for a wide range of events including meetings, conferences or corporate dinners. The room features STUA  Globus chairs, here more versatile than ever, finished in black frame, walnut backrest and seat upholstered in a warm cognac leather. Spring is here and we are launching two new STUA outdoor designs by Jon Gasca: The Calma lounge armchairs, and the Pausa round tables. What makes Calma different is that it is a mixture of hammock and armchair. Calma consists of a long suspended sling, which is also upholstered with a comfortable inner padding. The design allows us to lie down and rest our head. Even fall asleep. And if you want, you can use the matching footrest for a total comfort. Deliveries have started. You can order them now!
