I was deeply saddened after rewatching Shang Chi to realize how little fanfic there was of this marvel movie. Only 293! Where are all the Shang Chi runs away and somehow begrudgingly Wong ends up adopting a teenage Shang Chi and/or Xialing long before he meets Stephen Strange? I want Wong ready to throw fists with Xu Wenwu over parental rights. I’m ready for Strange to be totally baffled and confused by Wong’s assassin foster children when they show up for family karaoke nights where he’s not invited.

One of my favorite bits of characterization in Agents of SHIELD is that Jemma is not simply a stereotype. Her dorm room is a mess AND she likes everything in her lab just so. She likes to hit the treadmill in the the morning AND she survived on beer & Sriracha. She trains well enough to survive on a desert planet AND she loves wine & truffle fries & gin. She compartmentalizes to her own detriment AND she's a wonderful listener. She loves a snappy outfit AND she spends days wearing the same old hoodie. A character that started as a prim & proper Brit who liked to follow rules because is makes her feel nice is also the woman who would happily let her daughter make her own fish if she could. She's multidimensional in the most authentic way and I just love her.

When I was still in high school I went into the girls toilets one morning before classes started. I could hear this girl crying from one of the cubicles. When I asked her what was wrong she said to me “I just started my period. I don’t know what to do!” I asked her what she meant and she said “My mum can’t afford them. She said if this ever happened I have to go home right away” When I gave her one of the pads from my bag she literally hugged me so tight. she was sobbing while saying to me  "Now I can stay at school thank you" That hit me so hard. I gave her my lunch money so she could buy her own. My cheese toastie means nothing to me at this point if I can give this one girl something she needs. Sanitary Products are not a luxury item. Period poverty is real. I’m so proud of my wee country right now.💙
