Me: I can't talk right now I'm doing hot girl knitting shit
Also me: *spends hours scrolling my phone looking at the spectacular work of everyone else instead of, like, idk. Knitting myself? Or something?)

The D&D website has a Holiday Gift Guide up right now, and the banner has knitted themes on it so I combined all of those things into one sampler! Thought I’d toss it your way for any D&D nerds (like me) to see who follow you! Submitted by  a-soulless-lime

We absolutely love this. You did a lovely job translating the motifs into something way more simple to stitch. I am in awe.

For those of you who haven’t seen the gift guide, here’s the cover–

Now, we hope you don’t mind. We expanded upon your idea because copy/paste does a lot of wonders and we thought it could be slightly longer/wider.

Thank you, again, so much for the submission! And happy stitching to everyone who might be interested.

Hobby Lobby just released some new yarn designs - unsurprisingly they stole designs by a few different indie dyers, including lemonade shop, who’s been working on her speckled designs and rainbow splash color runs for a while (lemonade shop yarn is left, hobby lobby is right) :

She’s not the only designer they’ve stolen unique fiber patterns from, and the indie dyer community is reaching out to a few more dyers with very singular designs that hobby lobby has also taken, so I’ll try to update the list as I can.

Stolen art is stolen livelihood. Please support artists, small time crafters and creators as you can, and if you recognize someone else’s yarn in the hobby lobby release, be sure to include them and a link to their store. There isn’t much else that they can do to fight this unfortunately.

The Lemonade Shop Yarns:

If anyone is wondering why I haven’t posted in a while it’s cause I fell into ao3.

Feeling like I need to apologize again. Reading and writing have taken over my mind. And honestly? It’s not bad, specially with everything going on.

But anyways here’s a picture of my cat staring at me for staying up too late reading on ao3 as an apology.

I swear I still knit on Thursday nights during critical role.

My ACAB hat pattern is now live on Payhip and Ravelry 🔥🚓🔥 links to each are in my header 🖤❤

With the events in Minnesota last night, all I can say is this sentiment grows ever more relevant.

[ID: a 4 panel picture of a knitted beanie hat. It's all black with large red lettering that says "ACAB" and has a 5 point star design on the crown that incorporates the stitch decreases. It's shown laying flat, and on a mannequin head facing straight towards the camera, 180 degrees about-face, and turned sideways.]

reblog bc you know tumblr will suppress this

Can you recommend any good beginner weaving tutorials?? From what I’ve seen of your loom, it appears somewhat similar to the one I was given. 😅 i can post a picture of mine, if you’d like to see what I’m working with??? (I think it’s missing a piece or two) Sorry for bothering you; you absolutely don’t have to answer. 😓 I hope you have an awesome day and wish you all the luck with your crafting!!

Hello! I’m happy to help :)

Learning to weave what more challenging than it was to knit or spin yarn. Even though we’re in this awesome age of youtube learning, there’s very little when it comes to weaving. The ONLY videos that helped were Kelly Casanova’s videos.

I don’t know what pieces you may be missing, but check out this construction video for my loom, to determine as such (they also have some weaving basics videos if you’re lost to what weaving even is). Each rigid heddle loom will have the same parts (with the exception of the apron stick, some use thread to connect it, others have rubber stays)

For the weaving itself start here:

Most videos show using a warping peg. But if you’re like me and live in a tiny apartment with next to no surfaces or hallways this isn’t really an option.

^^that’s how I dress my loom, although I do still struggle with some tensioning with this method.

Once you got plain weave done, I’d recommend some floats for easy texture.

Good luck and happy weaving!

If I got bad gut feelings about a therapist is it worth it to still try them out? It’s been years since I’ve seen one. Or should I cancel? It was so hard to even find one with availability. Advice from my neurodivergent peeps?

Oh gosh y’all! I didn’t expect such quick responses. Love you all 🥰 I think I’ll stick with the first appointment and will definitely let him know about the intake form making me anxious about the fit right away.

Therapist: Are you two married?

Me: ??????????????? Yes??????????
