Not dead.
Hello everyone, sorry for my absence. I’m currently writing my graduation thesis and I’m very close to being done. I kinda underestimated to amount of work that goes into a thesis, so I only had a very limited amount of time to do art. In two weeks I’m done. Then this blog should be alive again. Thanks for the patience. Much Love <3
Good Gracious your art is absolutely STUNNING😍🤩!!!!!! I would love to be able to draw some of the gems in your drawings but I feel as though I won’t do them justice. If you would be alright with it, can I draw some of your gems???
Oh thank you! Absolutely go ahead and have fun. You can tag me if you like so I can see your rendition but If you don’t want to that perfectly fine too.
Just do what you want. You can not do “injustice” to them, trust me haha :3
Your art and concepts are amazing, so much that I based my expectations around them and was a little disappointed when the actual show didn't deliver as much. Really love your work! hope you continue to do alot of great stuff in whatever you decide to do next
Oh sorry, I didn’t mean to create false expectations! Thanks for kind message though! Hoping the best for you future as well <3
Thanks so much for sharing your work and thoughts all this time. Good luck to you in whatever you do in the future!
You’re welcome haha. Thanks! And good luck to you as well! <3
Every drawing you made does tell a story and it's amazing, I see your passion shines though. Hope we get to see more homeworld in the Steven universe future. But either case your drawings bring homeworld to life.
Thank you so much! I’m usually not a #-tag kind of person but thinking about the show and that is basically “over” did make reminiscent of all the time I spend with it. It is really something special to me.
Eyyy, always loved seeing your art. Especially your interpretations of Gem worlds and locations. Helped inspire me to world build to my hearts content!
My best advice is always to not be afraid of your ideas. Also be aware that every piece, even if it is “just” a little sketch takes some of time an effort. Your brain tries to solve how get your ideas on paper so to speak and it is by far not always easy. If you ever find yourself hitting that wall were you either think you can not do it or you get so frustrated that you want to quit, please remember that you’re not the only person who feels like their smashing head against a wall hoping for it to break. There are always a way around the road block you might not think of on that given day. You’ll find solutions for your problems if you’re not afraid to let ideas take you in many different directions! Also breaks. Please take breaks haha. Much love!
Thank you for being you. Beautiful person you!
You too! <3
Thank you for making art
Thank your for encouraging me to do it! <3
In conclusion: I very much love Steven Universe maybe not as much as I once did but I think that is normal. I remember that the crewniverse said that they were very excited for what to come from young producers in the future and that they see the show more as a stepping stone than anything else. I’m very exicted, too. I’m excited for you guys. Please let your ideas into the world, you never know who they might inspire. Give your ideas time to grow they don’t always have to be perfect straight away. Thank you so much @crewniverse #LoveLikeYou019 for this wonderful show. If all these pieces don’t show my passion and love for the show beyond any doubt then I don’t know what is...
In the end I thought about all the ways the show inspired me and some many other artists and what I meant to certain communities. This not meant to stifle my own or anyone’s griefs with the show but I learned to appreciate the show for what it is and not what I wanted it to be...
As it always is, my relationship to the show changed the more it went on. Maybe I had created too much of my own version of the show that I wanted to see fulfilled that I couldn’t really enjoy the show for what it is....
I was always so exited when we got to see the silightest glimpse of homeworld within the show. The background work captured me even in the first season and inspired me to try my hand at backgrounds as well, which up to this point I like many more character focused artist always shied away from...
It was also one of the first times I could really see my art progress so immediately. Since I had so many pieces I suddenly created a timeline for my art progression instead of these big jumps between pieces...
I don’t really remember how I came to paint in this particular style. It wasn’t something I did in my personal work. I think it all started when I entered one of the t-shirt contests and tried for a more stylized approach....
