Do you have any tutorials on anything? I would love to see your process! :D
OK I whipped this up today, I dunno its pretty simple I think. Ive never made a tutorial, I wasn’t sure what to focus on so heres just how I draw start to finish.
I sketch out what i wanna draw, i keep it as loose as possible because I always overwork my lines and make things really stiff on accident
i usually flip the canvas to line to make sure its not skewed. Of course, I forgot and wrote the letters the wrong way.
FLATS. Its easy to block in color by just selecting an area you want to fill, expanding the selection by about 2 px and then hitting the fill bucket
To shade I use the “clip at layer below” feature so i don’t have to worry about staying in the lines, I pick analogous/darker hues when i choose what color to shade with. Sometimes I just use the multiply layer with a really bright color but that doesn’t always work out.
Using another clipping mask layer over the lineart, I color over the lineart so it looks kinda “lineless” in some places, but I keep darker lines to preserve detail. (I hid the color layer to better show the line colors)
Heres what my layer panel looks like. the red indicates a clipping mask
And thats basically it, i hope thats what you were looking for!
