The dark

I have completed my creative writing course and this is one of many of my last creations, enjoy

It creeps up in the night and even in the day. Children in fear of going to bed thinking there’s monsters in their room. You reassure to them they’re fine. Though you know that as you age, the dark is much more scary then you could ever imagine. You’re in middle school and friends start to distance themselves and grow apart and you feel trapped in the dark. You go to high school and you think you’re not enough feeling left in the dark. You go to bed thinking everything will be better tomorrow , but the voices in your head tell you that “tomorrow will be worse” and “don’t care”. The fear of graduating not having a plan after high school while some have everything figured out. With work as well giving you dirt for not busting your butt enough making you feel guilty and lost. The constant fear and fatigue of this harsh reality. You feel caged up in the dark with people giving you garbage . you think i’ve had enough and think to yourself to hide away, maybe write a sad letter, maybe even pop some pills to disappear from this harsh reality . Then that one person says something to you and you no longer are in the dark. You say good bye to the baggage you didn’t need in your life. You clear your mind and see the light. It shines brighter than the sun. the fresh air blows right past you like a spring day. Then you say to yourself “ the dark can’t take me because I am the light.”. You realize that you are worth and the time to live is now because life does not wait for anyone.

Lost

I feel like people have lost their originality over time and have wanted to be accepted for who they really are so they'll cover up the reality. That is no way to live. There are over 7 billion people in the world today and in this lifetime, there will only be one you. Take advantage of the creativity that life has to offer. If people don't like the real you, they don't deserve you. You have come this far in life to be who you really are. Don't be a forgotten soul.
