I think some of my moots even have screenshots for it too.
Honestly if fake wokester in this website want a Black superstar to venerate then why not stan Anthony Mac/kie? He is rational, humble, stands up for actual disenfranchised people in the industry ( the technicians) and clearly cares for people without making it about himself. He is what people think J/B is.
Boyega wanted to be leading man, and he also wanted to be Rey’s love interest.
This was the reason he disliked Rose - he wanted Rey.
If DLF introduce a Rey/Finn love story in future material it will be the final straw, proving that they are indulging Boyega because he’s playing the ‘race’ card, and Ridley because she whined that she didn’t work with John enough on the set of TLJ. Excuse me - when you go to work it’s to EARN money and if you’re an actor, entertain the public who pay your wages - not to hang out with your friends.
Ridley mentioned in an interview that she thought it was a ‘pity the audience didn’t see more of the Trio’ throughout the ST.
The ‘Trio’ were the worst thing in the ST, And it isn’t just Kylo fans who think that; so did critics, many who hailed Adam as being the only interesting thing in the film, and that it was ‘a relief’ whenever he walked on screen. The ‘Trio’ were the dullest collection of heroes I have ever seen in SW. Rogue 1′s group of misfit heroes were miles better. The Trio were supposed to be STs answer to Luke, Han and Leia - they were more like the Three Stooges without the entertainment value.
Oscar Isaac who post TROS actually said it would have been better if Poe had been killed off in TFA, which he was slated to be, is the only cast member big enough to admit the characters’ shortcomings. But even Poe was great in TLJ.

Where the hell the "trio" even come from, as am idea? There wasn't one in TFA, the characters just haven't met or interacted enough. There wasn't one in TLJ FOR THAT SAME REASON. Trio who?
I am thinking that the collective desire for so many people for SW to be “another OT” is very bad and DLF fueled that fire by having Rey cosplay Luke, Poo cosplay Han and F/nn being just there that the next assumption of them being “Trio” just came out of it.
Basically wishful thinking. JJ obviously was on same train so got them “together” but even he cannot paper over the fact that they have no reason to be together or like each other. Forcing Leia and Luke to care about Rey was pushing it as it is.
Completely agree - the sequel should have been about the redemption of Ben Solo the son of our legacy characters - rey should have been his love interest / the one that saves him abs Poe and Finn should have become a couple and Finn the general freeing up the storm troopers
P.S I think Boyega would have been a much happier character had he been allowed to do more than just scream “reeeeeeeey’ for 3 consecutive movies …..

Sometimes I wonder about this quote. How could JJ go all psycho on Ben after that? But then I remember JJ doesn’t get Prequel Anakin and how Anakin’s tragedy informs the Vader we later meet. For JJ Vader is Vader is Vader, a monster in a mask, who stole Luke’s moment of victory. So I think JJ thought he was just cramming Prequel Anakin into the movie, so everyone soon gets to a place where they hate Vader 2.0, ANH-style. JJ doesn’t get SW beyond ANH, we saw 2 movies attest to that.
^ I also don’t understand it and I never will. They all cared about Ben, they gave him a very tragic back story, they made him human, they showed him crying while stabbing Han. Why did they toss him away like that? What happened?

I think - three things happened. Rey was absolutely not breaking out as a “New Luke” and the next brand new SAFE “Skywalker” of the franchise, as Disney estimated she would. The public was consistently more interested in the Lucas-era Skywalkers family soap drama, as they should have. TLJ backlash happened and higher ups in Disney actually supporting it, because they didn’t want actual movies or actual sequels out of ST, they wanted a feel-good static redux and a nostalgia joyride. Then Endgame happened, highest grossing movie ever, so Disney decided Endgame was their winning formula to “fix” SW. So we get TROS…
