had a conversation with a client today and apparently i'm weird sooooo it's time for a poll

I LOVE getting my blood drawn or donating partly because I like helping people but mostly cause capillary action is cool and it makes me think of vampires

#I have some health conditions that I was diagnosed with at a very young age#they require tracking certain things in my blood regularly#so it's something that feels very normal ans natural to me since it's something that's been happening since before I can really remember#I've freaked out some phlebotomists in the past because I'll just watch them draw my blood like it's nothing#i wouldn't necessarily say I find it fun#but it's an odd fascination

this is going around twitter rn but im also super curious: please tell me your top four comfort movies that you’re always down to watch bc my friend thinks mine are ridiculous and now we’ve realised everyone’s version of “comfort” is hilariously different

#the lost boys#crimson peak#hellraiser#the labyrinth#I am well aware that 3 of my 4 top faves are horror and the other one is horror for babies feat. David Bowie#The Company of Wolves is an honorable mention for being a werewolf movie you are 1000% supposed to find horny#and the amazing Angela Lansbury is in it#basically if it's horny horror and/or has a great soundtrack it's probably a comfort movie

#Chicagoland area person here#born and raised#deep dish is like a special treat pizza#typically when we order a pizza we get chicago tavern style thin crust#the kind with the crispy crust and cut into squares#unless we want something different like pan pizza then we get that instead#but yeah deep dish is more a novelty special treat food that we only have a few times a year#it's good and I recommend it if you're ever here but it's really rich#and definitely not what you should expect if your friend from Chicago invites you over for Pizza Friday or whatever#stuffed pizza is even better if you can find it though#it's like deep dish but it has a layer of crust on top of all the cheese and then the sauce#it's what I order when I want the Chicago Deep Dish experience

#I found out a guy I used to play D&D with was also into FE3H my at the time (and current) hyperfixation#and while we bonded over nerd stuff before he has never said he was interested in a hyperfixation of mine#and I was sitting there like do I send him fanfic recs or did he just play the game?#he just played the game#and I should have realized that he was a casual but I was still going through the codex of 3H fanfics I've read or written#trying to figure out which ones would interest him

Yet another poll on the subject of name errors — because all things come in threes and mostly because the notes on the other polls are very intriguing. I imagine multiple answers will be true for many of us (goodness knows they are for me), but try to choose whatever feels like the most common/prevalent reason!

Reblog, if you like, for a larger sample size to continue forcing me to wade through too many fascinating name-related notifications. But also for sample size. :-)

#It's a mix of reasons I think#I have my dad’s surname and it was anglicized#pronounciation and spelling#it's supposed to look like and rhyme with a massive corporation#but I've heard it pronounced some ways that's like okay you're just trying to pronounce it wrong#given name is The Mermaid which is a hebrew name#I would say most people get it correct because of the movie#but also my mom's family is southern so that's where pronounciations get Weird there#they don't choose one of the two accepted pronounciations in the movie#they invent a secret third one

whats everyones toxic trait as a dragon age fan. not an unpopular opinion!!!!! but a toxic trait. mine is that i will always find a justification for making leliana divine and have no intention of ever doing otherwise :)

#I refuse to have balanced parties#it will always be me (a rogue probs) my LI and the 2 assholes I like the best/think are funniest/my LI's besties#I was most likely to have a balanced party in origins because I romanced Alistair#so it's easier to find besties for him because he gets along with everyone except Morrigan#but 2 was a clusterfuck#there was me as Claudia (rogue) my BF Anders and then typically Isabela and Varric#because it's like a bisexual besties brunch date but with killing too probably#The game is so much harder when your party is 75% rogue and 25% healer#but listen#I hate playing warriors in DA#so Claudia becomes the beefiest rogue to compensate#and while I love Fenris and Aveline they're only allowed to come along when the quest dictates or I'm trying to build approval#my inq playthroughs are 100% LI dependant#Matthais romanced Dorian so he brought Dorian and Varric and Cole#So two mages and two rogues#Tahliah romanced Bull so that was Bull Varric and Cole#So worse balancing#I only bring Bull and Dorian at the same time when I'm not romancing them because I don’t want them flirting with each other#I think my Josiemance playthrough was the only time I had a balanced party
