Sure you did, Ron.

*facepalms* This films really did Ron dirty, didn’t they. In the book, he was well aware of how good Hermione was at duelling, and even got quietly pleased with himself when he disarmed her a few time. As if Ron “you’re just cleverer than we are- is it nice to rub it in?” Weasley would ever say this…

This is the only part of the movie that shows just how much Ron is suffering, from his injury, blood loss, weak from lack of food, seeing the other two seemingly getting together (they aren’t but it LOOKS as if they are) and acting like they’ve forgotten he’s even there.

And all the while listening to the list of those murdered or imprisoned by the deatheaters on the radio, dreading to hear the names of his family on that list.

Wearing the horcrux, which affects him more than the others, in his weakened state, it constantly twisting and exaggerating all of his worry, dread, and sense of rejection.

And this goes on for weeks, not a few days as it seems in the movie.

THIS is the build-up to the fight in the tent and him leaving.

He wasn’t just being a jerk, or a coward, as some people seem to think, he was literally being driven out of his mind! I think the movie failed to portray this adequately.

And the other two weren’t blameless, they WERE  acting like he wasn’t there a lot of the time.

THEY DIDN’T EVEN NOTICE THE STATE HE WAS IN!

It really saddens me to see all the hate that’s directed towards Ron, not necessarily here but in general, because he wasn’t the bad guy in this. He was the victim.

And yet as soon as he’d taken off the horcrux and apparated away, he immediately wanted to come back.

THAT’S LOYALTY!

(Taken from a reply I made to someone on YT who was…. confused).

Anonymous asked:

Do you think Hermione and Ron lost their virginity’s together or did Ron lose it to Lavender

Hi Nonny!

So, the short answer to your question is no, I don’t think Ron and Lavender had sex. Like, I truly, deep down in my bones and the pits of my soul don’t even think they got close to having sex. Like maybe, a few times, there was some over the clothes awkward wandering hands. But ultimately, I think that when Ron and Hermione had sex for the first time, it was the first time on all counts and that’s that.

Now, the longer and more layered answer (in case you’re curious) is below the cut.

Ron glanced at Hermione, then said, “What if pure bloods and half-bloods swear a Muggle-born’s part of their family? I’ll tell everyone Hermione’s my cousin–” Hermione covered Ron’s hand with hers and squeezed it. “Thank you, Ron, but I couldn’t let you–” “You won’t have a choice,” said Ron fiercely, gripping her hand back. “I’ll teach you my family tree so you can answer questions on it.” Hermione gave a shaky laugh.

@headcanonsandmore No you are definitely not the only one who gets the Romione vibes from their relationship! :)

(Like a month ago when someone was asking ‘how attractive do you think Ron and Hermione are’ and I said, I think of them a lot like Jim and Pam on looks.)

@hillnerd That’s good; I’ve been watching Office compilations over the past few days, and I kept thinking “why does this dynamic feel so familiar- oh, wait. It’s like Ron and Hermione”.

Obviously, there’s not exactly like Ron and Hermione. Their personalities are very different, but I think it’s the “best-friends-who-slowly-fall-in-love” idea that feels so familiar to Romione shippers.

And I absolutely agree that Ron and Hermione are attractive in the same sort of way; they’re physically-attractive but in a very ordinary way. They’re pretty, yes, but in a way that feels very approachable.
