Primarily Zutara but also all my other OTPs
"I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself." - Unknown

the way rhaenyra is shadowing daemon in the throne room like she's following in his footsteps and viserys saying they're both the blood of the dragon...idk makes me a little insane

I audibly gasped the first time I saw it it's so sexi it's so delicious it's so very insane to me. the way they come into frame in tandem the way they stop at the same time. kissing everyone on the mouth whos responsible for blocking the scene like that. its such a small thing but it says so much about these characters and the understanding the people involved in making the show have of them 🥰

I cannot stop thinking about the intimacy of this episode! The parallels!

The contrast of being held down with Alicent and then seeing Daemon gently cradling Rhaenyra’s face as he kissed her so softly, over and over. Daemon is restless untempered energy and every single kiss and touch he shared with Rhaenyra was exceedingly soft. And then the passion between them as they move to the wall and seeing Rhaenyra’s visible pleasure contrasted again with Alicent enduring Viserys’s. It’s heartbreaking one moment and passionate the next.

And how he pulls away at the end, and asking to wed Rhaenyra as she is because he does not give a fuck about those things. He will have her exactly as Rhaenyra. And Rhaenyra my god the sexual freedom she experienced - and freedom in general, where Daemon saw her solitude and gave her clothes and a hat and his hand that said I will show you the world you haven’t seen; it is crass and bright and delicious and different. The amount of times he held her hand not just to lead but to hold.

And when Daemon does leave, it almost doesn’t matter that he didn’t finish what he started, because the match was already struck and his plan succeeded: Rhaenyra sees the world in not just duty to the throne and duty to a husband but with wonder, and pleasure, and seeing she does not have to be afraid of companionship or pleasure. She sees herself as a sexual being and she comes alive. She takes Criston and enjoys herself without reservation.

We see Daemon’s deviance and his gentleness, we see Rhaenyra’s bitterness and her passion. They are so similar and they seek each other out whether they mean to or not. Viserys said one true thing this episode in that they are both restless, as they have the blood of the dragon. And only a dragon can love a dragon.

did you ever notice in the brothel scene daemon bumps his nose tenderly against rhaenyra’s!! i love their dynamic so much they are each other’s greatest strength but at the same time weakness

most significant cultural moment of our time??? that man had an earth shattering realisation that send him on a ten year downward spiral?? the way he had to tear himself away like 5 separate times????? matt smiths face????? u can see this man's world rearrange itself around the fact that this is it. that she is IT.

Sapochnik: It’s the idea that Daemon is using Rhaenyra as a way to get to her father. Ultimately, his impotence in this scene is a reflection of the fact that he knows deep down that what he’s doing isn’t right.
Clare: He thinks it’s shocking to her. But she doesn’t just get shocked, she gets excited by it. And when that happens, he has nothing. And he, basically, he can’t handle not being in charge or in control.
