“Beomgyu-ssi?” She said, eyes widening. Clearly, she too hadn't expected his presence. Taehyun glanced between the two, surprised.
“You two know each other?”

Ten minutes later, he watched covertly from his desk as the secretary returned, a tray of coffee in his hands. Beomgyu was placing his own mug on his desk when he happened to look up and spot the note. A bright grin crept across his face as he scanned the words, and Taehyun had to look away, clearing his throat.

He suddenly spoke, “Tomorrow, I’m going to meet a new client in jail. It's a big case. Do you want to come with me?”
“Huh?” Beomgyu put down his mug from where he’d been about to drink. “Really?”
Taehyun nodded. “I’m the only one who can meet him, but you can go to see the jail and discuss the case with me to help your law career. And you won’t have to sit in the office alone.”

chapter eleven is out! a few fluffy shenanigans with a damsel in distress gyu scene as well. enjoy!!
How could he say something like that so casually? And with such a straight face! Beomgyu blushed, gathering his stuff up in a hurry. He shoved the folder back at Taehyun and quickly got out of the door. “Ah, I should go now, Taehyun-ssi, thanks for the ride, goodnight!” He blurted out before rushing back to his apartment, thankful for the cover of the evening to hide the fierce red staining his cheeks.
chapter twelve! in this update, we see a company dinner, a small update on felix's case and a whole bunch of angst!

“Everything ok, Beomgyu?” Yeonjun asked, eyeing him with concern as he re-entered the room. Beomgyu shrugged, dredging up a smile and slipping back into his chair.
“Yeah, it’s just my manager won’t be able to be with me for the next few days because of something. I miss him.”
The CEO gave him an empathetic smile, patting his back. “It must be hard being away from him. I’m sure you’ll be able to see him soon.” He grabbed the pile of folders and deposited them in front of Beomgyu with a teasing wink. “Until then, these case files can keep you company.”

chapter 13 summary:
Taehyun strode over to his desk, picking up the telephone and dialling the reception.
“Hello?”
“Kai-yah, did Beomgyu-ssi leave the firm early?”
“Huh?” The receptionist’s tone was clearly confused. “No, I haven’t seen hyung since this morning. I would’ve noticed if he left. Why? What’s wrong?”
