Row One:

  • Oh my brother's cousin has autism, too!
  • TV, radio, and local choir practice all occuring simultaneously
  • Unwritten or unspoken expectations
  • It's actually 'people with autism'
  • You're doing that for attention

Row Two:

  • *loud music and expectation of conversation*
  • Open plan working space, no privacy
  • Oh, you don't look autistic
  • Those (stim) toys are for kids why do you need one?
  • Why are you doing that with your hands it's weird

Row Three:

  • No written instructions, only verbal
  • Can't you just act normal
  • (Blue Puzzle piece free space)
  • Fluorescent or flickering LED lights
  • You're asking too many questions

Row Four:

  • You talk too much/why are you so quiet
  • Ohhh you're one of those *insert functioning label*
  • So you're like a voice for the ones who don't talk?
  • *continues talking over background noise*
  • Nobody else has a problem with that

Row Five:

  • Why do we need all those labels anyway?
  • *upon disclosing* I'm so sorry
  • Assuming everyone is cisgender and heterosexual
  • 'Full body listening' or 'look at me when I talk to you'
  • Sit still/stop fidgeting
