Chrollo doesn’t have much of an identity so he steals some of yours. Switches his cologne to one that compliments yours, may or may not pick up on some of your speech patterns or your mannerisms. He takes your books sometimes, he always make sure to return them when he’s done reading them though. Your favorite movies, your recipe book, your morning and evening routine, he weaves tidbits of everything into his own life. It serves a double purpose, understanding you on a personal level and also adding on to his identity by clinging on to yours.

I miss billy Hargrove

Although his actions are very questionable throughout the seasons he was on …. I kinda sympathise with him.

The phrase “hurt people hurt people” plays into his character very well. He’s seen repeating the same type of abuse his father inflicted on him. Eg: when Neil had pushed up billy against the shelf, billy reciprocated with shoving Lucas back at wills home.he reveals his violence only to those closest to him, especially those he's more likely to win in a fight against

His violence toward Lucas could be read as subtle signs of racism. But the first time he comes across Lucas is after witnessing him and Max having some form of argument which left her visibly upset, it's also possible that due to his past experiences with his father's violence toward him and his mother, he assumed Lucas was much like Neil Hargrove.

Billy, who - despite his bravado - is still a child and needed to be raised with care and love, not the resentment he receives from schoolmates/Neil.

I’ve seen people write for this character but they get hate for writing about him when other writers are writing for characters who are just as antagonistic but just because billy hasnt killed anyone yet he doesn’t exactly fit the evil mastermind villain trope.

no i wholeheartedly agree. hes abusive and horrible but people forget hes literally still a teenager himself and wouldve grown out of it if he decided to, reference: in the last moment he literally chose to grow out of himself. obviously you shouldnt "fall in love with potential" but an abused kid turning into an abusive teenager isnt uncommon and also not the end all be all. hes not a real villain hes not even the villain of maxs story.

when i rewatched i realized that he isnt actually a villain as soon as he talked to his father and stepmother about max being old enough to not need a babysitter and that they should've been there instead. he just needed to move out and get some healthy connections and communicate with max as someone he's not forced to take care of whos not pushed in his face as the sibling that matters more.
