Tom, you are really showing your ignorance. As others have pointed out, Islam is not a race and is not subject to the racist label. it is a belief system based on hate and intolerance of others. Get your head out of your ass and get a clue.

Guys, I can do this all night.

Also, reading comprehension.

Hi Tom! Infinity Gauntlet #1 was AMAZING. I'd been looking forward to this ever since it was teased and it was even better than what I thought it'd be! After only one issue I'm already wanting Anwen (and hopefully some of her crew) to be around after the event! I could really feel the tension and emotions here - both the writing and the art were spectacular! Duggan and Weaver really got me to feel for these characters in such a short time! So thanks to you all, Secret Wars continues to slay!

The Howlett Estate

Nineteenth-century birthplace and family home of James Howlett, aka Logan, aka Wolverine

This location has never been specified by Marvel. And while there’s nothing requiring fictional locations to resemble the real-world, Marvel tends to like to portray “the world outside our window” so let’s see how far we can go.

there are a number of clues from the comics that narrow down the possibilities:

  • On a hill above a town
  • Town has a population large enough to sustain a mall (in the modern era)
  • In the Rocky Mountains
  • In Alberta
  • Along a railroad line that reaches into British Columbia (in the late 1800s)

We first see the Howlett Estate in Origin #1, where we see it on a hill above a town…

In Wolverine and the X-Men #26, we see a flashback that specifies a Rocky Mountain location, with a hillside reaching up behind it…

In Wolverine #10, it captions clarifies the Alberta location and shows us the old estate has been replaced by a mall…

But the most telling clue comes from Origin #3, in which the young James and Rose were able to flee the estate into British Columbia via railroad…

This is a really telling clue because there there was only one railroad cutting across Canada in the late 1800s, the Canadian Pacific…

While not shown on that map, that railroad also went through Canmore (founded 1884) and Banff (founded 1885), which narrows it down to two. I’ll confess that my original preference for Banff came from the completely irrelevant similarity to the signature sound effect of Logan’s good friend Nightcrawler…

But after looking around in Banff, I was pleased to find not only a great estate/mall-sized area on the side of a big hill, but check out the name of the first road at the bottom of the hill…

That’s too perfect. I just can’t resist.

This is a little side project I’m experimenting with. Feedback is appreciated.

this is awesome. please keep doing it as long as you can!

I loved your job in New Avengers and now in Guardians of the Galaxy (even though I hoped you'd have returned to New Avengers for its conclusion). Could you please post a textless version of the panel from Guardians #23 in which Venom's new form is revealed (without the narration boxes)? Thanks!
