She’s technically a monster too. She might not look it at first glance and seems mostly human, but it isn’t deniable even despite her looks compared to the other monsters.
But she realizes that she is still not like the rest of the monsters either and may not have entirely the same experiences as them, which is why she feels that she might not belong to or deserve to go to the support group. By sometimes passing as human, she feels she isn’t worthy of the space.
The sad reality though is even though she’s mostly human in appearance, that tail she has undeniably would still cause her some struggle. Humans are still gonna look at that tail and think she’s a freak. There are probably still accommodations she needs because of the tail that she may still struggle to have access to. Even if it is just the tail, that tail is still enough to other her from humans and cause her problems and discrimination.
She should get to belong in that support group even if she gets told she’s not monster “enough”. She still shares some of the same struggles as them that are caused by being a monster, and needs support.
This is an excellent demonstration of the flaws in the concept of passing privilege. Bravo to the artist.

Funny how often people loudly proclaiming "I should be able to say whatever mean things about other people i want!! " actually mean "no one should be able to say mean things about me!!"
oh boo hoo someone told you that your joke was offensive and transphobic and now you're gonna go on a rant about how you make fun of everyone and thats your right of free speech even though literally no one is oppressing or censoring you about it. you just can't handle someone going "oh gross this dudes a transphobe. no thanks" and think that someone saying something non-positive about you constitutes an infringement of your rights and that marginalized people must be getting special privileges to be able to do such a cruel cruel thing as say something not nice about you after you said multiple not nice things about them.
Like that's always what it is in the end. It's not about them being allowed to say mean things or make certain jokes, they're already allowed to do so without legal repercussions and often without many social ones either. Its about them not liking that other people can, rightfully, say that they're an asshole, because that hurts their feelings. Like oh I'm sorry, I thought we were allowed to say whatever we want about anyone and hate everyone equally? Does that not include you?

I want to expound upon “comedians couldn’t get married” thing because it’s actually really interesting. Satire was respected in Ancient Ireland. It was thought to have great power, enough to physically maim the subject one was making jokes about. Satirists could bring down kings with a witty enough insult. That was actually their original function. When the king didn’t do right by his people, a bard was supposed to compose a poem so scathing it would raise welts on the king’s skin to oust him (it was illegal for a “blemished” king to rule.) Unwarranted satire was considered a form of assault. So what it boils down to is ancient Celts being like “These people are too dangerous to reproduce. DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH CHILDREN. EVER.”
