Hi, I share petitions and posts. My pronouns are they/them. BLM ACAB Pro-Choice

Explaining to my boss that this will get more engagement than spending $10K on a professional video.

I have an Etsy shop: 👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼👇🏼

Fun faction: These wire mandalas (1960's) were originally used as hair pieces. It wasn't until the early 1990's that folks discovered its usefulness as a fidget toy.

Once again! Giving this away to One 1 ☝🏼 random commenter! Let me know what you think, and tell me your favourite colour/style of beads! 😊 (Giveaway #005)

For anyone interested, here is a petition to stop the WILLOW Project.

As the petition states “The Willow Project is a proposed pipeline in Northern Alaska that has been proposed by ConocoPhillips, a company that has been surrounded by controversy for continued oil drilling, exploitation of nature, and posing risks to indigenous communities globally. This project was proposed during the Trump administration, but has yet to be approved by the Biden administration. Despite Biden promising to turn away from non-renewable energy sources such as oil, he is still defending this project.

If this pipeline were to be approved, 100,000 barrels of oil would be produced for the next 30 years. The first oil to be used from this pipeline would be as early as 2024. We do not have much time, but it's still enough to defend our earth and the Iñupiat that live there.

ConocoPhillips, the company that has proposed this project, claims that half of the federal royalty will be shared with the State of Alaska to be used to address potential needs of North Slope communities. In other words, none of the money goes directly to Alaska Natives, but rather goes to the state who decides whether or not Natives deserve it. These colonial governments have caused more than enough damage to Alaska Native communities. Assuming that you can pay off Indigenous people to be silent while exploiting and ruining our ancestral lands is nothing short of an insult and a continuation of genocide.

Alaska has warmed more than twice as fast as the rest of the United States. Water levels are rising and the ground is thawing. Ruining our earth so that the rest of the world can live conveniently will have detrimental effects for our generations to come. Our earth, our people, and our wildlife are crying. KEEP IT IN THE GROUND!”

You can use this letter template.

President Biden,

With a projected lifespan of 30 years and accumulated greenhouse gas emissions of more than 280 million metric tons, ConocoPhillips’ massive Willow project in Alaska would be – if approved by your administration – a carbon bomb.

Now that the Bureau of Land Management recently recommended approval of the drilling plan, this is a good time to pause and remember that America’s Arctic is warming about four times faster than the rest of the planet, causing permafrost to melt and Arctic communities to literally be consumed by the sea.

In a display that would be comedic if it weren’t so absurd, ConocoPhillips is literally deploying equipment to refreeze and stabilize permafrost so they can continue to extra destructive fossil fuels from beneath the tundra.

You campaigned for the presidency on a promise to “lead the world to address the climate emergency and lead through the power of example.” You assured the nation that we would achieve a 100-percent clean energy economy and net-zero emissions by 2050.

But with a projected 30-year lifespan, in 2050 Willow would still be pumping out greenhouse gases, and its infrastructure would have resulted in more widespread oil development in the Western Arctic.

You have the power to defuse this carbon bomb. Please, for your climate legacy and the health of the world, reject BLM’s shortsighted recommendation. Stop Willow with a formal record of decision that selects a “no action” alternative

Willow would emit more climate pollution annually than more than 99.7% of all single point sources in the country. It’s estimated that the oil from Willow, when burned, would add more than 280 million metric tons of climate pollution to the atmosphere over the next 30 years — equivalent to the annual emissions from 76 coal-fired power plants. Willow is a climate disaster we just can’t afford.

Yes, Spain!!!!

[Image descriptions: 1. Tweet by AJ+ @AJPlus [gold check verified] that says: Spain became the 1st country in Europe to offer paid menstrual leave, for 3-5 days. It also gave final approval to laws that: [bullet point] enshrine rights to abortion for people over 16 [bullet point] let trans people over 16 self-identify gender by simple declaration, one of the only places to do so [Attached to the Tweet is a photo of a group of people with trans flags gathered on the steps of a building with large stone columns.]

2. A headline from DW that says: “Spain passes laws on trans rights, abortion, menstrual leave – DW.” The visible part of the article says, “The new laws expand transgender rights and abortion access, as well as give workers paid menstrual leave. The approval comes ahead of…” \End descriptions]
