This event runs from the 3rd-9th of September 2023.
The rules for this event are as follows: 1. No explicit material featuring minors, beastiality, or rape/non-con. 2. Dub-con, major character death, and graphic depictions of violence are allowed so long as they are adequately warned for and tagged. 3. OT3s are allowed, as long as the relationship is F/F/F. 4. All works must feature an F/F pairing as the primary ship. 5. As this is an event for celebrating female characters and relationships, we request that you do not include genderbent canonically male characters in works for this event. 6. Written works can be of any length. Art may be of any medium, including graphics and photosets. 7. We will share 14 prompts for the week, including a Free Space. Funniest thing about these images is that Janeway and Harry absolutely have these in-universe. Someone sees a lovingly framed picture of the captain in Harry's quarters and understandably goes "that's a bit...weird." and Harry 'I remember being in the womb' Kim would be like "What? No. How is it weird. She's the captain." Like that explains anything. Meanwhile Janeway has Baby's First Starship Portrait on her coffee table where she looks at it and has a quick guilt session because of the Horrors she inflicts on this person whose become a symbol of innocence and the journey home to her. Both of them think this is normal.
Nana Visitor MADE the ds9 mirrorverse episode. She so perfectly hit the balance of In Charge and Spoiled Princess.
Mirrorverse!Kira is such a good example of "mirrorverse" rather than "evil". She's an inversion of Kira: She happily owns slaves instead of fighting for freedom, she uses her soft voice first to get what she wants before resorting to violence, instead of leaping into fights but being vulnerable when things matter, she is ultimately deeply alone and unsure of herself whereas our Kira has confronted a lot of her demons and has an incredibly strong sense of self.
It's just. SO good!
