You gotta get the ball past the ten yards. You got four times to do it before it’s the opposing team’s turn, and if you lose the ball it’s the enemy teams turn, and if you fall you have to stay still to keep the yards. Reach the goal and you touchdown (4 points). Bonus points (so they always go for it) is a kick through the big goal, where you get 3 points for going between the two prongs. Then you can decide to start at 50 yards and fight for control of the football or kick and run it, where someone on your team kicks it and tries to run to the opposing goal to land it in better. Rinse and repeat.

All analysis is just like wargaming, it’s the plan both teams take to get that ball going farther. I think that’s it.

Other football watchers correct me.

Idk, it seems like a bunch of dudes in really nice tight pants arguing over a ball to get a single coin.

Um. A touchdown is 6 points and field goal (btwn the prongs) is 1 point. Where in the hell did the 3 and 4 nonsense come from.

This is a subject that really interests me because I (28 years old) had computer classes in grade school where learning how to efficiently type was a big focus. As a result I have a very high WPM (words per minute) count.

However, I've heard that they started phasing out computer classes in a lot of schools because it's assumed that kids/teenagers already know how to use a computer in this day and age. But smartphones are more popular than computers now, and as result a lot of Gen Z/Gen Alpha kids are able to text very quickly but their typing skills aren't as good.

I say this a lot and I know it’s getting annoying but…

THIS DOG IS NOT A PITBULL!!

Elliot is an American Bulldog, a bully breed developed around the 40s-50s by Alan Scott and John D. Johnson.

They were bred for Hog hunting but are used for numerous different jobs. Typically bigger than pits they get anywhere from 60-100lbs and come in three types (standard, Hybrid, and Bully). There are two original bloodlines called Scott and Johnson.

Scott preferred his dogs leaner with longer muzzles while Johnson preferred the bulkier dogs with shorter noses.

American Bulldogs come in a variety of colors but always have some amount of white. Less than 10% white is a serious fault in the breed.

They can be stubborn, dog aggressive, and weary of strangers but it’s kind of a trademark for the breed to be extremely goofy and social these days. Elliot’s mother hit my like a ton of bricks when I met her without even taking a minute to check me out first.

They are a very active breed though are not as active as pits, but the standard types are a lot more athletically inclined than the bully types and tend to be on the healthier side when it comes to bulldogs.

Here is a standard type compared to a bully type.

All I’m saying is, be as little more critical with what random dogs you call a pitbull…and tag as a pitbull. I mean it literally says American bulldog in my url. Just because it’s a bully looking dog, does not mean it’s a pitbull…there are lots of bully breeds out there, folks.

I mean, I’ve had some people argue with me about her breed for goodness sake.

Also, I don’t know much about pitties so feel free to correct me on anything I said wrong about them!!

Valid, but also: “Pitbull” isn’t a terribly meaningful term anyway. There’s the breed, the American Pit Bull Terrier, but the vast majority of “pit bulls” are not actually APBT’s, but Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Bull Terriers, and other bulldog mixes. APBT’s don’t even look like the massive, big-headed, chunky dogs we often see on social media—those are American Bullies. There are many different working definitions of what a “pit bull” is, but by almost any definition it’s a shifting group of related breeds.

This post is a good example of why breed-specific legislation and breed bans are bullshit: they try to legislate a vague cloud of dogs not clearly defined. (Some legislation targeting pit bulls also targets American Bulldogs and similar bully breeds, because hey, where is the line?) Most dogs don’t have papers or pedigrees, and if your dog didn’t, it could justifiably be called a pit bull if DNA testing couldn’t clear things up because “pit bull” in practice means “dog that can be mistaken for pitbull.” It’s not a single breed and no one agrees on what the breeds it includes are.
