Non basic forms of self-care
- Doing the hard thing -
- Seasonal eating - avoiding preservatives and wax coatings in your fruits so it’s still tasty and fresh by the time you get it and gives you more nutrients
- Picking a book instead of your phone
- Walking barefoot - it’s a grounding experience reminds us that we humans are part of nature too
- Taking a bath infused with natural elements such as flower petals, lemon grass, bath salts, essential oils etc
- Advocating for yourself - if you don’t who will? Communicate how you feel and what you think is right for you. That’s specially important at work or at the doctor. (don’t mix it up with only thinking about yourself)
- Digital detox days - being away from social media takes away the false sense of connectivity by seeing what everyone is doing and makes you look for that in real life.
- Having boundaries with yourself - those are the ones that are gonna make you feel safe. One example is choosing how much time you’ll allow yourself on social media, but in general be careful with what you’ll allow yourself to do on a daily basis
- Spontaneity- not in a way that is harmful but in a way that you allow yourself to do things out of the box, something you weren’t expecting. Allow life to show how it will be if you say yes to things, if you open your eyes and look over your phone.

A sign of sanctification is an antipathy against sin. A hypocrite may leave sin yet love it, as a serpent sheds its coat yet keeps its sting. But a sanctified person can say he not only leaves sin, he loathes it.
