A review

No spoilers but a somewhat different take

I went into the cinema with low expectations and a low grudge towards Brie Larson. I now feel completely different after watching this film, I was stunned by Brie Larson as captain marvel and every other actor who stared in the film.

The story was slow but began to speed up and gave a greater understanding to the plot and it connection to the MCU. Personally I think the film was maybe rushed at some points but those parts aren’t necessarily needed to go into detail due to spoilers.

One thing I think that needs more attention is how this film was promoted. I wasn’t convinced on this story before, it looked generic and boring. It also focused on one audience instead of everyone which I feel is the main reason it’s got so much hate or really one of the reasons. The film was targeted for women and there’s nothing wrong with that but it should of been also targeted for everyone else. I understand it’s an empowering film for women but if you want to really get it across it should appeal to everyone else, I only felt like this after whereas I wanted to feel it as I was walking in like how I did after watching any other marvel film.

I know how harsh that comes off but that’s not what I’m intending to come off as. I think it should of toned down with how much focus was pushed onto “her” and “she” and rather show that Captain Marvel is strong in her own way rather than tell you that she is.

Captain marvel was amazing and I would definitely see it again
