Hey guys, gals and non-binary pals ;)

sometimes i think about gay people who lived centuries ago who thought they were all alone who imagined a world where they could live openly as themselves who met in secret spoke in code defied everything and everyone just to exist and i’m like..i gotta sit down. whew i gotta sit down

like the strength it must take to be truthful with yourself when you don’t even have the vocabulary to describe your own desires. when there’s no precedent. nothing but you and your heart

hey lesbians remember thinking about getting married when u were little and heteronormativity made u think it had to be a guy and it didn’t look all that appealing but now the thought of having a wife makes u cry tears of joy SMASH that mf reblog button if u can’t wait to get a wife

imagine thinking that being queer is a sin when queer christians spend literal years praying to god to “fix” them and becoming more and more miserable b/c they’re repressing a natural part of themselves, created by god

ok so people are making fun of this but adding this with other anti-global warming tactics will work

This isn’t adding ice just for the sake of denial, it’s adding to the Earth’s albedo. This in turn actually makes the Earth’s climate cooler, and then more ice will be produced naturally because of this.

It isn’t a process we need to continue forever, in fact it’s one that needs to be calculated so that we don’t do it TOO MUCH. The only worry would be cooling down too much.

So yes, this is a good idea. It simply isn’t the only thing we should do because we still have gross pollution.

“Are you saying that murderers are right in the head??”

No there’s definitely something wrong with someone’s way of thinking if they can justify killing innocent people, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that they have a mental illness.

Extremist beliefs isn’t a mental illness.

Bigotry isn’t a mental illness.

Entitlement isn’t a mental illness.

Hate isn’t a mental illness.

Having a dysfunctional moral compass isn’t a mental illness.

We need to stop categorizing all these things as some undefinable “mental illness” and start looking at what we do as a society to develop and justify these things to a degree where people use them to justify killing.

Yes!

Dehumanization is something you Have to look for. If the murderer doesn’t see the person they killed as a person, then mental illness is probably not the main factor there.

Plenty of people murder women, poc, lgbt people, people of other religions etc. because they don’t see them as people.

Think about genocides - they aren’t perpetrated by big group of people/a government who all got mentally ill together the same way at the same time somehow, they just didn’t consider what they did murder because they didn’t see the victims as people.

I’m probably going to wind up reblogging this more than once because it is really fucking important.
