Beautiful Splashed Watercolor Animal Paintings by Tilen Ti
Singapore-based artist Tilen Ti captures the wild, untamed and lively spirit of animals through a splashed watercolor series featuring creatures adorned in bright colors. The artist uses his expertise in watercolor to paint vibrant animal art, using the fundamental way in which the medium captures energy to vitalise his exuberant subjects.
The artist’s prime inspiration is tropical birds, which seem to fly off from his canvas on a flutter of jewel splatters. Their luxurious feathers fit well with his palette, and his painting technique is clever- the use of spontaneous splashes of color not only create movement on the canvas, but also emphasises the spirited nature of wild animals and the difficulty of capturing them as still entities. Tilen Ti’s art is anything but subdued, and he has even featured other mundane domestics and neglected animals such as cats and snails and given them life through his artwork. Find his entire collection in his Etsy shop.
This is basically like unabashed “They Live” levels of dystopian capitalist advertising
