A lot of dog owners give their dogs peanut butter. It’s great as a treat given in small quantities and most dogs love the stuff. But PLEASE check the ingredients before giving it to your dog. There is a sweetener called XYLITOL, often found in chewing gum, dental hygiene products and it can also be purchased as a sweetener itself, and now they’ve started putting it in some peanut butters. It is EXTREMELY TOXIC to dogs and can be potentially fatal if not dealt with immediately when ingested by a dog. Check the ingredients, if XYLITOL is mentioned then PLEASE DO NOT FEED IT TO YOUR DOG! If you suspect your dog has ingested XYLITOL, which can often happen through dogs finding chewing gum in bags (they like the smell of mint), or if they do happen to have peanut butter containing it, call your vet straight away. I’m a dog trainer, I see lots of goods, but I also see the bads, and the last thing I want to see is dogs coming to harm because people are unaware of this so please if there’s one thing you do then reblog this or at least tell people about it. What’s especially horrible about this is that Tara, EG, and Catherine were still the official voices of the Powerpuff Girls just last year when they reprised their roles for that TV special. So they were still capable of reprising their roles, but Cartoon Network just opted not to for some reason (although CN did keep Tom Kenny as the Mayor/Narrator, now how weird is that?…)

The PPGs are roles extremely beloved to these three actresses. During the production process of TPPG, Strong, Daily and Cavadini helped to find these characters, to understand who they were, to develop them. The girls are just as beloved to them as they are to creator Craig McCracken and the rest of the original PPG crew. They fact that they were recast without being notified or given a chance to reprise their roles is just a really bad, disrespectful move by CN, in my opinion.

PPG creator Craig McCracken, who is not involved with the new reboot (as he’s now heading “Wander Over Yonder” on Disney XD), has lent his support to the former VAs.

As well as former PPG writer Lauren Faust, who wishes the new VAs well, but wishes the circumstances had been different.

And I don’t blame them. It’s good to see new up-and-coming talent get some work. Being a voice actress is a tough business to get into. But when it comes at the expense at experienced voice actresses who know the characters more than anyone and could have brought so much of the original charm to the reboot, then what’s the point of making a new cast?

If they fuck this up like they fucked up Teen Titans with the whole “Teen Titans Go!” bullshit, I’m going to be so angry. PPG was my childhood.

I have seen this post done with two different reactions, both of them with a big long explanation with their evidence. 

There’s the one side that explains how the three originals are ‘attacking’ the new VAs. That one is on the side of “these women had their long successful career; why can’t they let these unknown girls have a chance at what could be their big break?”

Then there’s this one, the one on the side of nostalgia, that no one could replace the “original charm” and that the company is yanking the rug out from under the original VAs’ feet. 

Frankly, I’m on the side of “they screwed up the Teen Titans reboot, I’ll kill a man if they screw up this one as well.”
