🌌ace/nonbinary (they/them)🌌

I am gonna throttle the fuck out of this asshole on twitter and I do not care that I've just thrown most of my anonymity in regards to my hometown out the fucking window to do so.

How fucking DARE he insinuate that people affected by a fire that's just thrown a fuck tonne of chemicals into the air and wiped out a bunch of our remaining industry aren't really people. It's made even worse by the fact that the people affected are mostly families, working class, and/or BIPOC. Fucking wanker.

That factory wasn't meant to go up. In fact, most of the chemicals probably weren't from the "dangerous" steelworks (known in area for being decent employers ffs), but rather from the fucking print shop and garage that also caught on fire!! It's also pretty well-known locally that we have an arsonist who TARGETS shit like the industrial park that went up. And every single fucking time it's the families, the working class, the medically vulnerable, and the BIPOC individuals of the town that get hit with the most impact. And callous Tory bastards don't give a flying fuck and instead demean those who've only just been allowed to return to their home, with several households only able to return temporarily because it is STILL an ongoing incident.

Even our fucking MP hasn't raised a damn finger the Tory wanker. What did we expect from Mr "I'll send my secretary to buy sex toys and vote against feeding the kids in a pandemic"??? The fucking COUNCIL did more, and they're shoddy at the best of times!! (Not the repair workers etc, they're decent, but like the higher ups who're in the tories pockets.)

People make me fucking sick sometimes. Assholes.

Hey it’s ace week and you’re local ace has something to say! I’ve been out as ace for 3 years now and it’s still a big part of my identity that I’m proud of so here’s a lil something for those who need it!

Honestly as a blind person I’m so tired of seeing fictional blind characters who don’t use white canes or other guides. “They have special powers so they know what’s around them” or “they’re confident enough to not need a guide” are common tropes, and I’m tired.

Are people scared that using a white cane will make their blind character seem weak? They can’t use a cane because they’re so special that they already know what’s around them, and other blind people who use guides are inferior because they’re not special?

I’m tired. Give your blind characters white canes and other guides. Let them hold onto their friends, let them have guide dogs. Don’t make white cane users feel ostracized for not being “strong enough” to go without.

Another thing that pisses me off is when a sighted character comes up with the fantasy equivalent of braille and teaches it to the blind character. Braille was invented by Louis Braille, a blind man, in 1824. The blind character should be the one coming up with it.

Tldr I’m blind and tired of sighted people lol

“It’s not that wet”

This cat strikes me as both fascinated by the sensation of the rain - the smell, sound, and feel of it - and completely mortified by the fact that it comes with being wet

This cat is like “I am enjoying approximately 75% of this experience but I’m not sure if it’s worth that other 25%”
