Currently watching: We've been on youtube lockdown pretty much ever since Vanguard debuted, but with the boys in japan for holofes/their upcoming 3D debuts, their schedules have been inconsistent. Alisa's a very hardcore Betellion meaning if Bettel's streaming she has him playing on at least two screens simultaneously and is active in chat, and Im a very normal Hakkito meaning I usually get through like 65% of Hakka's streams, eventually, if I have time. We'll throw on Shinri or Altare if we're caught up or there's nothing else happening. I made the mistake of introducing Alisa to HBomberguy and she's been filling the gaps with her 500th rewatch of the Plagiarism or Pathologic vids while the stars are busy. But also we're watching Dungeon Meshi! Izutsumi soon!!!!!

Sweet/Savoury/Spicy: Spicyyyyyyy I love spicy Im a terrible cook and i only know how to season with cayenne. i dont know when exactly i started equating "flavor" with "pain" but it is what it is. Current Obsession: Four years late to the party Twisted Wonderland finally got its hooks into me! (Add me on EN: ZyEdsarR) I'm very mentally unwell about Scarabia. None of the fanfic on AO3 is scratching the itch so I'm spending too much money importing doujin. It's great but it takes a month to get like eight books and oops one of them is just a straight up fanfic and im sure its banger but I can't google translate my way through 60 pages of japanese text, one of them is solid porn which, yknow, cool, but it was probably something I was in the mood for when I placed the order a month ago and now I want story, and I have to sit down at my desk with good light to translate with my phone camera when what i CRAVE is to lie in bed on my side reading fic on my phone until 2 am. I'm dying, squirtle. (Anyone got good fic recs? there is WAY too much fic for pickings to be as slim as I feel like they are)

🎨 How do you feel about fan art of your stories?
getting fanart is like the ultimate compliment imo. it hasnt happened to me often, but once I spent a lot of time and energy writing what I still think is one of my best, most ambitious projects ever and I honestly dont think more than 20 people would have ever read it if one of those 20 hadn't liked it enough to do fanart of it. I'm grateful to them for it (even though they ultimately decided I was too Problematique and ended up redacting the fanart lol) because it went on to be my best received work to date and yeah yeah numbers dont matter but listen.... they do. feedback is enormously validating. i write first and foremost to get the demons out of my head and never just to Make Content or for the attention but when you put your whole heart and soul out there for other people to see its nice to know its appreciated.
🦅 Do you outline fics or fly by the seat of your pants?
usually i fly by the seat of my pants, unless its a big one, then an outline helps. BUT......Theres a project Im working on now that I think the outline is actually a detriment because I've got like, three acts (three meals being cooked (guess the paring lmaoooo)) but having this plan laid out and the thought of having to actually do the hard work to follow through is mentally petrifying. I think i could ditch the outline and pare the work down to just one act/meal, and it might actually get finished that way, but it would come at the cost of the bits i think might be good if ONLY i could actually write them, you know? idk. idk. i have some nice bits jotted down and it would be so nice and BALANCED if i could do it the way i wanted but it. Its like wanting to do a 5+1 fic and only being able to come up with two of the five and beating your head against a wall about it. is it better to keep pushing or to ditch the 5+1 format and just write what you can?

UMMmmmm i think there are a lot of funny bits in film studies but i still feel weird about talking about that one (sometimes i regret coming off anon ahaha) so idk i guess if you know you know. Specifically theres a bit about Hakka giving Bettel memory loss after beaning him with one of his giant platform geta that i choose to believe is canon behavior.
🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.
when i realized I used the same "empty, brittle seashell" analogy twice, like two years apart, I felt like such a hack I wanted to walk into traffic. If i do it once more, I can make it a signature motif. Im setting a reminder to bring it up again in two more years.

oh gosh. Not usually, because i feel like i get the most writing done in hidden corners at work, when I dont have the option. Buttt for the sake of answering the question, AJR had just dropped a new album when I started thinking about jamikali so Touchy Feely Fool was one I kept coming back to as maybe having Jamil vibes ("I would do anything to not give a shit (but i do)")

unfortunately I'm a big big slut for "getting together" fics or "confession" fics, particularly between kids or teens where the first kiss is a BIG BIG DEAL, haha. I think that might be kind of basic of me? But i like the uncertainty/anticipation of the first kiss/confession moments. I probably wont even click on an established relationship fic unless Ive read the getting together from the same author because like....i need to know how they got there.
🤩 Who is your favorite character to write?
mannnnnn Idk if i can pick a favorite. I'll be looking through my body of work and go "oh i miss Webby's special cocktail of innocence and bloodlust and autism" or "I miss Alberto's cocksure attitude and raw bleeding heart" or "i miss Kjell he's such a fucking cunt." Bettel was an enormous amount of fun to write because he has a very unique and silly voice and I'll never ever write him again.
💔 Is there a fic of yours that broke your heart?
ohhhh mmm idk. when i write stuff in the moment its tugs at my heartstrings, but i get really desensitized to it over time, yknow? all the rereading and editing inoculates me against my own gut punches. Blue on Blue is probably a safe bet though.
