..........This month is complete chaos. On one hand huge riots, death of the innocent at the hands of corrupted cops, Covid cases are going up, trust in the police is tanking, an increase in unlawful acts from cops, riots that are taking advantage of the protest are hurting businesses which has caused negative effects on people's lives, statues are being destroyed, (Rather to have them in a museum then be honored for history purposes), and mysterious hanging deaths are happening

*sighs* on the bright side. Changes to the police are happening and how they do things are happening, justice is being enactive as those that have exploted the law are being apprehended, business is improving and the protest will hopefully bring more good as long as the riots happen less and less.

For those who are affected to all the bad that has happened. Never give up hope, look upon all good that came from your protest and keep going. Please also don't let all the rage get to you. Don't let it cloud your mind and make you do a bad decision. Lastly, Stay safe, if you are heading to the protest, always be prepared if things go south also if you have kids, PLEASE focus on their safety. You shouldn't even need to go if there is no one keep an eye on them. There are others ways you can help indirectly.

For those who are unaffected, it's your choice if either want to help to those that are affected or not to. Don't let people force you to do it for you may have your own issues to worry about. Love, understanding, protection are the key to the in these troubles times. Hate and anger only makes things worse.

So I have been hearing about a situation that has something to do with the Sailor Moon Drawing Challenge. First of all, I love all the drawings people made for Usagi/Serena. All the different art styles, creativity and the different takes they did on her. It was all absolutely amazing. But, then a problem emerged. Some people critizing on how some artists whitewashed Usagi/Serena by drawing in her standard while praising drawings that depict her with a diffrent skin color.

First off, there is nothing wrong in drawing a character in a style or in a way you want. It's art, a way of free expression. Be free to make whatever way you want and the drawings in question are no different. The drawings looked incredible. But the problem is the whole issue of how people see a character that is drawn as a different race than originally.

First, is the idea that no one can't draw a character with a skin color that is brighter than the skin they are originally depicted. Yes I know about the racist past of it, but this is a fictional character. All depictions of said character doesn't have to look the same as the original. Especially when it comes to fanart, which is all for plain fun. If you don't like art, either comment why you don't like it calmly and politely or ignore it.

Second it's how people react to a character being of a brighter skin than the orginal. The biggest example of this is with people drawing who draw Catra from the recent She-ra series. Catra's skin color is light brown to the point where if she is shined by a bright light she'd look bright enough to be as people see her as white. I mean the level of crazy people go for even the slightest of brightness it's just maddening. I know how the second main reason why it bothers people it's how there is a lack of poc representation. I just like to say that there will always be more representation for not just poc but for everyone whether they like or not. Even before anyone ever started asking there were heroes that are poc like Cyborg being the main example and I guess Starfire but she is a literal alien so I am not fully sure.

And third, well actually before I talk about it, I like to ask you something, ever heard Racebending? It's where you draw a character in a different skin color than was originally depicted. Now if you type on your search engine for Racebent fanart you would notice that 95% of it is characters that were normally depicted with bright skin now having a much darker skin with a 5% of one character that was originally depicted with dark skin now has bright skin. The reason I asked you to do that is for you to notice the massive difference between the two. The reason why there is such a massive difference is because of the reason in the last paragraph and yes I know that value can't be equalize cause of the amount of representation there is.

I don't hate it when a character is drawn with either brighter or darker skin. It's not about race or if a person deserves representation or not. it's about the hypocrisy, the way people act for something so small, and fairness. I mean consider it in face value, you are praise for doing one thing while being punished for doing the same thing only tiny bit different even if it is an accident. A character can never be depicted with brighter skin than the orginal but can only be either the same color or darken and if you think about it, even when there is a lot of poc representation, people of any skin color can't draw a character with brighter skin cause of the aforementioned racist past unless it losses its association to it. And well it's just plain ain't fair. I'm sorry but doesn't sound fair to me. While yes I understand that people can be mad when a reboot happens and a character is depicted differently but being mad fanart as well is just ludicrous. I can't understand it why people care so much when it is done fanart.

It's just something so tiny and easy to mend of you ever see a character that is originally depicted in dark skin, being drawn in a brighter shade in a fanart. There's ignoring it, remembering that this is just a single piece of fanart in a mountain load of others in his/she/their orginal skin color, draw your own fanart of said character, and ask if it's okay to change it polity and if they say no, well accept it. Cause the artist drew what he/she/they wanted to write and it doesn't have to agree with you.

Sometimes I feel that racism and its power over people won't leave until people learn to accept and allow people to draw characters in whether color they want. I mean take Jinx from Teen Titans (OG and Go..) and Nick Fury from Marvel. Before Teen Titans was featured in an animated series, she was depicted with dark skin then the animation came and now she is grey. Yeah I heard a few people were offended by it but they got over it and some people of all colors like her. Same thing with Nick only in reverse and it happened at one point in the comics and well everyone accepted him and heck I only ever see him with darker skin until I learned about him once being brighter skin and well I kept thinking with the dark skin cause it looked better and I was more familiar with that design. Maybe that's another reason why people don't like seeing characters of dark skin having a brighter one. Fearing that the one with the brighter skin will be more remembered than the dark skin one. Well it is understandable, it's still unfair to limit it as such. Let the fans and people decide which is best and besides no matter what happens, the orginal design will always exist. Always and never truly forgotten or/and erase.

Do you ever feel angry over something? You heard something being said by someone that ticks you off? Been bullied? Heard about someone doing your friend a wrong?

These emotions of anger and retaliation is natural and normal. The problem comes on how one deals with the anger. Some let it overwhelm them and strike back against there oppressor. While others can control there emotions and think calmly for an answer.

The reason I am talking about this is cause recently I have been seeing people being angered by other people. I type this so that people who read this can know of ways to control your anger and prevent doing something you may regret.

1. If you are been tick off by a statement or something someone said. First calm down, second you got two choices. Either ignore it cause everyone has there own opinion and not everyone agrees to the same things you do or ask questions about if possible and be open on their results. Don't make it as a way to prove the person question wrong, instead focus on understanding and sharing of views.

2. If you see a friend is being bullied or you yourself are being bullied. First, focus why they are bullying you. If your friend is being bullied then you must give them your support first then focus on why. Second is debatable on the reason tho you must always remember to use violence as a last resort, as much as the desire for retribution is great and the satisfaction tingles your brain by the thought. It can very likely backfire during and after. Talking is about the situation comes first and if it doesn't solve the situation, then go report him to the head of a group or an official if there is one. If that doesn't work, then if possible revenge if the bullying keeps going. Just don't go too far.

3. If you have read a post that ticks you off in the internet. Firstly again stay calm, Second if you want to reply, don't go crazy. Stay calm and post a calm and non hostile reply. Also be open minded and don't assume the worst from a statement. Context is extremely Important and we may not the full story.
