why are so many of the oak family members all kinds of levels of bizarre
who or what is grand oak? an ancient techno wizard ancestor who immortalized himself by uploading his big brain inside a computer? what makes him the grandest of all? we may never know, this is a character that just exists that tpc will not elaborate on further.
agatha (greens grandma because i say so) has fully embraced the bog witch aesthetique to the point where daisy and greens visits to her house are the “why dont you like sleeping at grandmas house” meme cranked up to the highest level. the moving dolls and paintings of gigantamax gengar sending people and pokemon to Pokemon Hell looming over toddler aged green make him just slightly uncomfortable. and yet daisy seems unfazed, she thinks the house is quite cozy.
im not even sure if daisy is just some woman either. shes said to be able to tame ANY pokemon. could she easily tame a furious god with just one offering of tea and biscuits and a bit of mindfulness exercise?
anyway i think they should keep introducing more and more weird as hell oak family members itd be funny
Yup the Oak family sure is something.
You got Samson Oak, the Alolan in the family (seriously that family is everywhere) who just looks so identical to Kanto Professor Oak. Apparently he’s a really good Mantine Surfer in the Ultra games and has one of the highest scores (only beat out by the player and old man Grimsley). Oh and apparently he can just freely give away Totem Pokemon, the sacred large beefed up creatures the Alolan Trial Captains use for their island challenge. Like how did he get those and why? (Also he talks about Aura and this just feeds my headcanon the entire Oak line is probably related to some aura guardian) Then Professor Oak who was undefeated (according to Agatha) before Leon was a concept and was so good the league wanted him to come back, but he just said “fuck it I want to look at research papers all day” and then became the world authority on Pokemon because why the fuck not. It’s hilarious that Blue is probably the most normal person in the family and he manage to speedrun an entire league while being completely out of sync (by that I mean having no bond in a world having bonds with your team make a huge difference) with his Pokemon at the age of 10(RBGY)/11(FRLG). Then just becomes a gym leader who said “screw the rules I’m not using one type” and no one questions it, then gets so good once he actually bonds with his team he leaves to Alola to head a battle facility. Like that’s insane for the average Pokemon world citizen but compared to his family he’s the normal one. The whole Oak family is nuts
