The man accused of torching a Miami police patrol car during last month’s protest against police brutality has died in the hospital after authorities said he suffered an ā€œunrelated medical episode.ā€

The FBI and police detectives, on June 8, initially released a still photo of the tattooed suspect accused of torching one of the cars.Ā They said they did not know that five days earlier, on the night of June 3, Fernandez had approached police officers in North Beach while ā€œacting erratically and making several random statements.ā€

Police officers ā€œattempted to detainā€ Fernandez and he began ā€œactively resisting the officers from securing him for his safety,ā€ Rodriguez said in a statement. How officers subdued Fernandez was unclear (why is this unknown??), but Miami Beach Fire Rescue responded to the scene and he was admitted to the hospital under the Baker Act.

While being baker acted at Mount Sinai Hospital, police say an employee recognized Fernandez after seeing him on FBI flyers and alerted them.

The cause of Fernandez’s death is unknown by police (yeah right), but Florida’s Department of Law Enforcement has been asked to investigate.

a baby can be born right now at 12:00, on a wednesday, august 24 in new jersey while another baby is also born in the exact same moment but they are born 9:00, on a tuesday, august 23 in california, these babies that are born at the same moment are technically because of time zones, a concept that we created ourselves, born ā€œhoursā€ apart even though really they are born at the same moment just not the same ā€œtimeā€, one will be considered older even though in actuality they are the same

Creator spotlight: Floyd E. Norman

Floyd Norman (born June 22, 1935) is an American animator, writer, and comic book artist. Over the course of his career, Norman has worked for a number of animation companies, among them Walt Disney Animation Studios, Hanna-Barbera Productions, Ruby-Spears, Film Roman and Pixar.

Norman had his start as an assistant to Katy Keene comic book artist Bill Woggon, who lived in the Santa Barbara, California area Norman grew up in. In 1956, Norman was employed as an inbetweener on Sleeping Beauty (released in 1959) at Walt Disney Productions, becoming the first African-American artist to remain at the studio on a long-term basis.Ā

Following his work on Sleeping Beauty, Norman was drafted, and returned to the studio after his service in 1960 to work on One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961) and The Sword in the Stone (1963). After Walt Disney saw some of the inter-office sketches Norman made to entertain his co-workers, he was reassigned to the story department, where he worked with Larry Clemons on the story for The Jungle Book.Ā

After Walt Disney’s death in 1966, Floyd Norman left the Disney studio to co-found Vignette Films, Inc. with business partner animator/director Leo Sullivan. Vignette Films, Inc. produced six animated films and was one of the first companies to produce films on the subject of black history. Ā

Norman and Sullivan worked together on various projects, including segments for Sesame Street and the original Hey, Hey, Hey, It’s Fat Albert television special conceived by Bill Cosby, which aired in 1969 on NBC.In 1972, a different Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids Saturday morning cartoon series was produced for CBS by Filmation Associates). In 1999, Norman and Sullivan created a multicultural internet site, afrokids.com, designed to present a variety of African-American images to children.

Norman was a recipient of the Winsor McCay Award for Recognition of lifetime or career contributions to the art of animation at the 2002 Annie Awards. Norman was named a Disney Legend in 2007.Ā

In 2008, he appeared as Guest of Honor at Anthrocon 2008 and at Comic-Con International, where he was given an Inkpot Award. In 2013 Norman was honored with the ā€œSergio Awardā€ from The Comic Art Professional Society (CAPS). (X)

My coworker was a racist and a sexist. I asked him to explain a joke about ā€œthose A-rahbzā€ and he told me to just take a joke. He was fired the next day after I went to HR. This shit happens at work and you have an HR? Fucking use that shit.

My fellow black people šŸ’

Can we discuss the 3 chained videos or one long video of the mom beating her 16 y.o daughter because what she posted on Facebook? I wanna know how some of you guys feel about those video(s). Because I PERSONALLY am disgusted by the mothers actions for many reasons. & I am black. 1. She not only recorded it but posted it. Which will forever humiliate that kid. Because the people who seen nothing wrong with what the girl posted will now look at her disgracefully. As if a black girl needs something else to be looked down upon for. Now before I go any further let me explain what the daughter posted. She post a set of 2 pics of her & I guess her lil bf naked in towels as if they had just got out or bout to get in the shower & fuck. Now YES that’s wrong BUT obviously she felt comfortable posting it on her FB page because all her ā€œfriendsā€ do shit like that etc. monkey see monkey do shit. So now as the mother you post a live video of you beating her for it ?? Now those same kids will make her life living hell calling her a hoe , slut , etc. when in all reality our moms & dads was fucking & sucking at 16 (not all but come on none of our(90s babies) moms & dads more than 16-20 years older than us) but anyways this kid will now forever have that over her head. 2. The mother didn’t just give her what we know a old fashion ass whopping is, she literally beat the girl, punching her all in her face & stomach, & slapping her with a ruler thing in her face & eye. As a person who was heavily abused by their own mother at one point that shit is NOT ok. Many of us black people believe getting our ā€œasses whoppedā€ is apart of our culture at this day & age & that ā€œwe got beat & turned out pretty okā€ & that’s a beyond sad mentality IN MY OPINION. A black adult aka our grandmothers & grandfathers & parents wouldn’t even know how to ā€œwhoopā€ ass if it wasn’t for slavery. Beating people w. A whip, belt, extension cord, twigs, etc. that’s all enslavement punishment that was taught by seeing it be done to other slaves. But hey that’s just my opinion. How do yall feel ?

I dont think i seen this video but i have been preaching everything u just said for everrrrrrr. Honestly it gives me peace that somebody dealt with what i dealt with (of many things, my mama used to sit on me and my lil brothers head to whoop us till i was about 12… never told anyone that till nowšŸ˜¢šŸ˜ž) and feels the opposition of what happened. I hate whoopings and they dont teach us anything. No one knows how to talk to their children. They think its a white thing. Nah wtf it is is that they treated their children like humans and not your ancestors; they carried their tradition and we carried ours… simple. Now i understand how some mf kids are unruly but nobody has the patience or the knowledge to do anything else They raise us like slave owners: if they fear me, they will listen to me. Like you said if they never seen people get whipped, how would you discipline me? Disgustingggggggg 🤮🤮🤮
