have you even tried educating your fellow sisters? maybe if you did a call out then they would understand. women rarely ever harm each other in physical or sexual ways so it can be hard for some people to understand. but for the most part, the radical feminism community does speak on these issues. we are for women but not those who go against women.

“fellow sisters”

Collectivist language. One of if not THE main reasons why I don’t agree with radical feminism. Women are individuals. We aren’t “sisters” unless it’s about your real sisters or cousins.

“women rarely ever harm each other in physical or sexual ways”

Girls who went through early puberty would like to have a word with you. Elementary school girls can be creepy, nasty gremlins when it comes to their classmates development. Hell, even OJAMAJO DOREMI, a children’s cartoon, alluded to this with male AND female classmates making sexual remarks about a girl’s breasts.

Girls who went to public/government schools would like to have a word with you as well. I have volunteered at government schools for social service, the girls, just like the boys, get into literal physical fights over midday meals. I have seen female children punching, biting, and kicking each other JUST LIKE BOYS. The tendency to get into physical fights is not related to gender, it is related to poverty.

You keep assuring me that you speak on those issues, but I have yet to see a radfem actually back that up and instead give me meaningless platitudes. You even showed your real intentions in the way you write, you seem to believe that women hurting each other is something that hardly ever happens, when it very much does, especially in extremist circles.

I love how this post that I made five years ago (holy shit has it been that long?) is suddenly blowing up because this is exhibit A of a Girls Girl:

one of the most infuriating things about becoming an adult is when you realize that it actually is 10x easier to solve problems by making a phone call vs literally any other communication method

"lol jews find so many loopholes in their own religion they must hate being jewish" damn just say you're uncreative and have never examined your own religious texts further than the exact words written down on the paper. just say you take everything at face value and you never enjoy reading between the lines to gain a new understanding of something. it's ok, we all see it already

"the reason muslims are allowed to have 55 countries is because people in those countries were always muslim."

OH REALLY. so Kosovo, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were all originally muslim? THEY ARE EUROPEAN COUNTRIES.

Bangladesh, Indonesia, the converted billions in Malaysia, SIngapore, Thailand, etc were originally muslim? THESE ARE ASIAN COUNTRIES.

Somalia, Sudan, Sierra Leone, Mauritania, Mayotte, Libya, Senegal, etc were muslim nations originally, back thousands of years? THESE COUNTRIES ARE IN AFRICA, NOT ARABIA.

HOW THE FUCK DO YOU THINK ISLAM GOT TO THE REST OF THE WORLD??? OSMOSIS?

IT'S CALLED COLONIALISM AND CONQUEST. THESE PEOPLES ARE MUSLIM NOW ARE MUSLIM BECAUSE. OF. CONQUEST.

This is why Turkey, Iran, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, PALESTINE, etc have any Arab or muslim populations. CONQUEST. The native peoples in all of these places were not originally muslim or Arab at all.

Pull your head out of your ass and stop pushign revisionist history. JIHADIST ISLAMIST (there is a difference between REAL ISLAM and ISLAMIST islam, just like there is a difference between christianity and the westboro baptist church) supporting Muslims are rewriting their history, their Quran, their religion, to push an abusive Jew hating message. They are painting muslims as victims in a history where they were always perpetrators. THEY are colonizers, just like european christians.

Pushing this worldview, these lies, is about as ignorant as arguing that the world is flat.

It is not "woke." It isn't liberal. It's pushing a fascist ideology that paints an oppressed group, Jews, as oppressors. The nazis did the exact same thing.

PLEASE learn real, actual history, supported by archaeology and primary sources.

Judea and Israel were originally and always Jewish land. It came under muslim rule due to CONQUEST. They took the name the ROMANS, one of the worst oppressors of Jews, gave to the area.

Also, don't majority of islamic ethnostate require you to be a Muslim to get citizenship, there should be a much greater outrage about having to erase your identity and faith just to get a citizenship but I guess hating on Israel or more clearly Jews, is more trendy at the moment.

Also, I’m so sorry people are being such bigots about it, denying your presence as well as rights your holy land, I can't imagine what such pain must feel like, I'm always praying for my israeli friends and well being and safety of Jews all over the world in the current climate. You will survive ♥️

love and appreciate you so much, thank you!!! 💙

and yes exactly to islamic ethnostates being oppressive! i’m gonna ramble a bit about this now with a few examples:

it depends on the islamic country for non muslims being allowed citizenship, but most do not have religious freedom in general. in qatar you must prove you have ancestry through the father (aka what qualifies you to be a muslim) to gain citizenship. same with in saudi arabia (which does not have freedom of religion at all). non muslims MUST convert to islam to gain saudi citizenship.

in the UAE you must be arab to easily get citizenship and a citizen of oman, qatar, etc. otherwise you have to live there for 30 years. in kuwait, you have to convert to islam to get citizenship.

malaysia is another example: they have laws stating that you cannot leave islam. you can be prosecuted for insulting islam AND LEGALLY to be considered “malay,” you must be muslim.

lebanon states it has religious freedom but you cannot make any public statements about NOT being religious there, it’s against the law. syria also banned conversions to religions that are not islam.

bangladesh claims secularism is part of their legal system but look at the massacres of hindus. it is also ranked as the 30th worst place in the world to be christian. despite a jew helping found that country, now jews cannot be publicly jewish due to the country’s ire toward israel. most bangladeshi jews made aliyah.

bosnia, another muslim country, denies jews and others who are not bosniak, serb, or croat, from holding the presidency or parliamentary positions.

libya has laws about converting to islam to gain citizenship. iraq started imposing a tax on non muslims aka dhimmi laws, in 2014. indonesia and iraq both like to act like they have freedom of religion in their constitutions, but iraq has that fun tax and indonesia imprisons non muslims for “blasphemy.”

other countries like jordan have islamic education as. a requirement, but “allow non muslims to opt out.” why is it that their education system isn’t secular?

the israeli school system is secular. the jewish religious aspects are handled by the rabbinate. muslims, druze, etc have their own religious bodies and courts. you can gain citizenship without being jewish. but israel is the problem here, not the muslim world. okay lol

in israel, to qualify for citizenship under the JEWISH law of return only, you must prove jewishness. otherwise you can pursue other avenues of citizenship. israel also has arab and christian political parties and members of the knesset. druze hold political positions as well.

isn’t it funny how no one accuses muslim and/or arab countries of being oppressive ethnostates? 😂

I had a vague idea abt citizenship process but wasn't aware how deep it was 💀 holy shit. Not the dhimmi laws 😭 what century is this

Next the pro palestinians need to boycott the zionist...*checks notes*...uh...Center on Race, Poverty & the Environment... for firing Riddhi Patel! She was just standing up for Palestine and demanding a ceasefire in Gaza from her local town officials in Bakersfield, CA. At the threat of murdering them in their house.

What a clown show

Fellas is it a Zionist thing to fire your employer when they make public threats to council members

Let's boycott a non profit org that works for low income communities as well as communities of color because they don't let their employees make explicit threats :^ #activism

Wow, this is ridiculous. This bitch really thinks this is activism. And of course the Hamas stans will support her.

Spot the difference: Hindus who support Palestine and Chickens who support KFC.

Sometimes self-care is, actually, NOT getting onto the computer and little treats and watching youtube videos. Sometimes those things are self-care, but sometimes they're also avoidant behaviors.

Sometimes self care is waking up and just. Fucking getting in the car. And driving to the bank. And the store. And buying the cat litter. And changing the cat boxes you've been avoiding because your brains been stuck in a hole. And picking up the trash you've been piling up. And getting a load into the wash. And mowing the lawn before the village council sends you a formal complaint and potential-fines warning.

Like its hard and annoying to do because it sucks. It sucks so much. But if I don't start working on this pile of bullshit I've let build up because it stinks and i was stuck in deer-in-headlights mode, I risk letting it turn into fuckery. I do not have the patience for fuckery that I once - foolishly! - thought I had.

This mentality helped me so much. Framing my "chores" and mundane tasks as self care and something I can do for myself, really helped me. On a good day I feel like I can genuinely enjoy basic to-dos because I get something nice for myself afterwards, even if that nice thing is just a better living environment. And sometimes it's still too hard, and that's okay too.

A lot of propaganda is not actually misinformation.

A lot of propaganda is not even half-truths.

A lot of propaganda actually is telling you the truth, but is feeding you a specific conclusion that the author wants you to draw from it.

This makes it a lot more robust, because if you go searching for sources to confirm the information, you'll find them!

So an important thing in evaluating information is not just "Is this true?" but also:

  • "Wait, does this lead inevitably to the conclusion this person is presenting? What other conclusions could I draw here? What other reasons for this piece of info could there be? How does this information fit into what I already know?"
  • "What are the motivations of the person who wrote or created this? Why did they want me to draw that conclusion? Do they themselves believe the conclusion they're drawing, or are they just trying to convince me? If they do believe it themself, why? If not, why are they trying to convince me? What's going on for them here?"
  • "What other pieces of information might I be missing? What am I extrapolating without noticing? What did this person deliberately leave out, or want me to ignore or gloss over? What other contexts and comparisons are applicable here?"
  • "How does this information with in with not only the specific conclusion that is presented, but with the author's overarching thesis? When I use it, how well does it fit into my thesis? When I take a step back, does this piece of information actually make any sense as supporting evidence for this person's thesis?"

Hopefully this is helpful, and can help your skills at evaluating information and arguments become more robust!

Don't just teach your children to read. Teach them to question what they read. Teach them to question everything. The value of an education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think.

its so funny when usamericans of all people are like omg usa is 50 countries in a trench coat when you're from a country like india where the first language of people changes atleast 20 times across state lines.

lets be clear though, the establishment of the united states involved a genocide of diverse cultures which is precisely what has made it so uncannily uniform today. from thousands of indigenous languages you now demand everyone speak one. sometimes you'll accommodate spanish at best.

I get the sentiment of this post but the ‘50 countries’ remark is about the political independence individual U.S. states have, not cultural diversity, at least in every context i’ve ever heard it. i don’t really know how that stands up to scrutiny compared to other countries but there’s good recent examples of this (for bad, of course). Texas deploying its nat. guard to the border, for example, something only the federal government is empowered to do in theory. or laws around healthcare (reproductive rights being the most obvious example).

India also has a federal system and our states have their own systems of government. Some of our states are so cut off from the rest of the nation politically that they may as well be different countries.

What’s funny about this post is OP tries to act as though US and India are so drastically different when we are actually very similar in terms of politics.

I had to consolidate them because theres usually 2 sets of this like archetype of pokemon per game so please vote for the pair you feel strongest about or the pair that your favorite is in.This isnt a precise scientific poll its just for my personal satisfaction I dont think all of these bugs are on route 1 specifically and im unsure about the inclusion of some of them its more just about the ecological niche they occupy the same way that rattata/sentret/zigzagoon/bidoof/patrat and so on occupy the same niche. this also isn't based on the first pokemon in the line specifically you can factor in the quality of the entire line. Helpful chart below for anyone who needs visual reminders of any of them. Pleawse help me understand the opinion of the masses
