Present for Mom. I modified it a bit, but full credit to AKxstitch for this one. With a little bit of community support, (both online and IRL) the Scrabble Rack Frame has come together! I gotta give it to DH, he did a great job oversizing the racks for the frame edges, y’all on here gave great lacing advice, a local carpenter cut the 45s, glued, clamped and nailed the frame together, and a local framer charged me $30 for the glass, matte board and foam core, and put in those fun fold-down-hold-everything-in things! After a bottle of wine on NYE, Mom’s gonna happy-cry all over it when we give it to her, I can’t wait! 😂 Thanks again, everyone!

Lavender and Lace: Fairy Grandmother stitched by janiceputt30. Pattern designed by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum.

This is “Fairy Grandmother” (designer-Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum, Lavender and Lace) stitched on 32-count linen, over two threads. I stitched this many years ago for my mom, when I was stitching more elaborate projects. Her face is stitched over one thread. Many beads and Kreinik threads that I don’t attempt anymore!

Just finished my festive project. Pattern is Christmas Bears by Owl Forest Embroidery (which is actually a free pattern!) Looking forward to framing it when the frame arrives :) I feel like it would be good for someone who has done a few small projects and is looking to try something bigger as it's fairly simple, minimal back stitching and only uses 6 colours. Btw, I did change one colour (DMC 3328 for DMC 349) as I wanted a nice bright Christmas red and I felt this suited the project better. I may do her Alice in Wonderland one in the new year as it's a childhood favourite of mine and the pattern is adorable
