I just can't imagine Sonic ever wanting to give up any part of himself. From my admittedly limited knowledge of romance, there's a very large gap you have to bridge and an amount of vulnerability and compromise you have to be willing to make for it to work out, and I just can't see him ever wanting to have a bond like that in the first place. Sonic is all about personal freedom and independence, I just don't think he'd ever want to settle for anything remotely domestic or anything that "ties him down". He doesn't need a partner that can "keep up" with that lifestyle, becuz he never needed or wanted that lifestyle. He doesn't need any fulfillment from romance. If anything, it'd just slow him down to be so attached to one person over anyone else. The point is that I'm thinking very very hard about being aromantic today
