His whole story is that following the destruction of the slate he doesn’t know how to be a functional adult because the jail for strains essentially kept him fed and clothed so now that that’s gone he doesn’t have a safety net to fall back on. As such, out of boredom he starts making a little bit of fun trouble for HOMRA and that’s how his story starts.
