These days I find myself seeking the things I can’t live without: the simple, the good, the nourishing. So this morning, I enjoyed one of my most treasured combinations: hot coffee, the permeation of scent from one of my most beloved candles, fresh flowers from the market, and a quiet place for repose. 

I hope you are indulging in the simple practices you adore most, friend, for they can be surprisingly more healing than you think.

You know those places — those places that make you dream of the future, reflect on the past, and feel grateful for the present? The kind of places you hold so near and dear to your heart because of what they’ve given you (and continue to give you)? Well, my friend, the north shore is definitely one of those places for me.
