I've arrived at the conclusion that self-care was never a kind concept.
it was always a capitalistic concept meant to further individualize us, isolate us, make us view consumption as the way to happiness, or even just temporary relief, and to sell the idea that if you can't keep up with the ideal of hyperproductivity then it's because you didn't do enough skincare and herbal tea - not because of fundamentally oppressive and dehumanizing societal structures.
no more fucking self-care. community care, only the oppressor benefits from the belief that if you can't do it by yourself, you've failed.
