Honestly it's probably just the fact he's an odd choice for this festival and there weren't a lot of simular artists to him just a handful he probably phoned it in bc it's just like a whatever thing to him but for me I still paid money to be here and was sorta just let down by it
And idk the few ppl that I talked to who enjoyed it told me the crowd energy was awesome if u found good pockets and that he's a rapper so ofc he only stood there alone but I'm like I'm sorry the crowd can't carry you and like I need you even if you just stand there which the edm artists often do but they're FUN they WANT to be there and do things to make it special they're there. How are you playing the main stage prime time at one of the biggest festivals in this country and just under like basic white lights singing your own music with no conviction
oh that’s a bummer to hear abt kendrick i saw him at a music festival in 2018 and it was one of the best live performances i’ve been able to go to. that was the damn. era still so maybe his style or his attitude toward performing has changed
It was just. Idk, the whole festival was leading up to it. 2 days of music 3-4 days of things yo do in general and he was the first major headliner (ithink technicalt zeds dead was but like. Kendrick is obviously more famous lol) so everything that's been bumping for days straight, people are all finally in town wed/Thurs were less people. It all came to a grinding halt so thousands could file into his set. And he just walks out. No dancers static lights and like maybe it's bc idk his music like that but istg everyone in my group had the impression he didn't know his own lyrics. Like I'm not devastated bc I'm not a fan and didn't come for him but I was dissapointed!! We waited all Friday for this massive headliner only for him to just completely flop compared to the insane sets I'd seen all weekend. Like idk I think it's unfair bc it seems to me he dropped the ball compared to everyone else that came before him just bc he's famous enough to afford to. It rlly was half assed
hi my names tyler i’m a trans bi guy and i recently got kicked out by my physically abusive homophobic mother and am experiencing housing instability, because of this i had to move states with my two cats to stay with my partner and get a new job and currently i am only being scheduled twice or three times a week and my paycheck is mostly dependent on tips, as you can imagine it’s been incredibly stressful and i’ve been developing canker sores bc of it, something id get frequently while living with my abusive mother and they make it rlly hard to eat or drink
i just had to go to an urgent care visit that was 30 dollars copay and my insurance didn’t cover the medicine they prescribed so i had to pay 80 dollars out of pocket, if i could get any financial help i’d really appreciate it as i still need to fill my car tank this week and get more cat food, and unfortunately i’m only scheduled twice this week again and really don’t want to reach into my savings bc i am in the process of attempting to get secure housing, i have a gofundme post with a more detailed explanation of events if needed, anything is appreciated i would’ve held off on getting my prescription but i’m in a lot of pain rn sorry, happy pride month and thank you !
hi unfortunate update i quit my job, my manager started yelling at me for asking about picking up hours / when my schedule would improve and it’s genuinely not worth it as i would’ve been off the schedule for two weeks regardless and only made about 200 for the shifts i did have :) i have another job hopefully lined up but i won’t know if it’s guaranteed mine until the 21st, thanku again for any support given
