as much as the movie grossed me tf out
i do like the idea of derek holding onto stiles' jeep when he starts the auto shop, fixing it for his friend who he occasionally talks to (remember how he's the first person to bring up stiles in the movie), not quite sure why he's so fixated on keeping the jeep in shape when he knows stiles isn't coming back, that stiles himself abandoned escaped beacon hills & that the jeep was another thing that was left behind.
but stiles is still derek's anchor, and derek will fix the jeep, if only to maintain some connection at first. then he finds out about eli, and his anchor shifts, because another hale child, when he thought his family was all but gone. but there's still a part of him that wants some part of stiles in beacon hills to live on, so he continues fixing the jeep. and derek's annoyed at himself, cause he talks to stiles, he knows there's no chance of stiles returning, but fixing the jeep is another chance to talk to stiles outside of consulting the fbi.
(eli never really learns about stiles, just that there was someone in his dad's life that was always there, but not really. for some reason his father never lets him into his office when he's doing consulting work. it's always "scott and his friend saved me from getting my arm chopped off", "scott's friends helped me save your aunt cora," but eli doesn't know who stiles actually is, doesn't know who the jeep belongs to, not until-)
derek dies. the stupid jeep is in his auto shop yard and sheriff stilinski has the keys after eli's stolen it for the umpteenth time, and he gives the jeep to eli. and tells him about it being stiles' jeep, about how his dad had complicated feelings about the jeep. and then eli realises that all those times that derek was smiling on the phone, was annoyed in the yard fixing the hunk of junk over and over again, might've been for someone something other than just a project he could never get rid of.
stiles doesn't find out derek's dead right away. the sheriff doesn't feel like it's his part to tell his son that his friend died. not until eli shows up at his apartment and stiles just knows that there's no longer going to be any calls from his 'friend from the hometown'. and stiles thinks about the goddamn jeep and how it's no longer going to be taken care of, that the jeep is just going to be abandoned like stiles originally did. but stiles steps outside and sees his jeep behind eli and realises that it's in new hands now.
stiles tells eli stories about derek from a whole new light, keeps the memory of derek alive, with the jeep in the front yard gleaming. they grieve together for the loss of a loved one.
(because all this time stiles was waiting on the other end of the phone, excited to hear about his jeep, the sheriff, eli, about derek. all this time stiles was waiting on "i found another roll of duct tape hidden in your engine, goddamnit stiles", knowing that he couldn't go back to beacon hills, but he could wait for derek to figure it out and come to him)
(derek doesn't, but his jeep does.)
The translation of these answers:
Derek had feelings for Stiles and their relationship together that exceeded that of a regular platonic friendship. And more than likely, Derek either never acted on his true feelings or he did & the relationship just didn't work out in the end.
But the feelings were so strong that even fifteen years later, Derek still holds onto them and feels them and still thinks about Stiles and what they meant to each other, using the jeep as that placeholder of their relationship together.
And Eli's the little shit that likes to poke fun at Derek still having a crush and being a romantic....
Jeff is such an idiot in the way that he tries to not give Stereks anything they want, by literally giving Sterek everything that they want.
But yeah, Sterek is canon.
C!Quackity must have a real hard time coming to terms with the fact that every single time he’s opened his heart up to people to love them, gone out of his way for them, moved mountains for them, he’s STILL never enough for them and ends up being discarded like he was just something to pass the time :)
I love you all. Class dismissed. WILLIAM DANIELS AS GEORGE FEENY BOY MEETS WORLD (1993-2000)
Funny Jin looks at Jimin and asks Jimin if Bam will run with him. Hmnnn shouldn’t he ask JK since Bam is his dog? Then Jimin tells Jin to go ahead. Much to think about here. Why would Jins first instinct would be to ask Jimin? So either he knows Jimin is familiar with Bam or this is just a case of a member associating anything with JM to JK and JK to JM, including JKs pet. twitter. com/KiMbapchef/status/1451563269735415813 just something to think about.
I did see this anon! Lol
Another angle, but just a photo, that is direct eye contact with Jimin for that question:
Right before Jin asks this question we see Jimin taking care of Bam too. Everyone else is eating Ramen or talking about the Ramen. But Jimin has disappeared with Bam. Then we see him standing off the side watching the yard where Bam is. Then he disappeared again in that same direction. Then when Bam is back and settled, Jimin finally sits back down at the table and joins everyone again. Also note how unconcerned JK is about his dog in this moment. He keeps an eye on his baby constantly too, through every moment they are together or when Bam is playing with the other members, he seemed to just watch them fondly together. But Jimin and JK both seem comfortable with Jimin taking care of Bam on his own like that too. Just an observation of the trust they hold together if nothing else.
And right after Jins question to JIMIN about if Bam will play a certain way... Hobi makes a comment to Jimin about Bam being such a jokester as they watch him run with Jin. Again, the comment being made to Jimin, who is watching Jin and Bam with quite the fond heart eyes as they play. And Jimin agrees, that yes he is while smiling proudly. He LOVES that dog. Jimin loves all dogs, yes. But he LOVES that dog. Probably because it's Jungkookies dog and he loves them both.
Jimin definitely seems to have an air of familiarity with Bam from the little we have seen of them together that is different than everyone else's interactions with him. They are comfortable together and it's very sweet, if nothing else can be said about it. It's very sweet. And I love seeing it

DREAMS CAN COME TRUE. JUST NOT THE GOOD ONES.
I see a lot of posts about how Stiles is Derek’s anchor, but I’d also like to add that Derek is Stiles’ anchor: the one thing he can’t get off his mind.
At the end of season 3b, Stiles tore down all of the stuff on his walls, trying to clear his mind and make sense of everything he’d been through.
[x]
But there was one thing he left behind, one thing he hadn’t yet made sense of or something he didn’t yet want to let go of: Derek.
He still has the newspaper clippings, photographs and reports of the Hale House fire, all tangled up in red, but in the middle of it all is a string of blue. Red is unsolved, something he’s trying to make sense of and blue…
But there’s also something else: Season 3 is when Derek goes from being an Alpha to a Beta.
Red and blue.
No matter how much he clears his mind, no matter how much he puts aside the cases and the mysteries he gets caught up in, no matter how much he searches for answers, his mind always comes back to Derek.
When we think about the 2020 MMA performance, we should consider the original Black Swan MV, Jimin’s ON:E Black Swan solo dance, Swan Lake the ballet and Black Swan the film. Each of these illuminates the performance and are mediations on a theme.
Swan Lake, composed by Tchaikovsky and first presented at the Bolshoi in 1877, centers on a princess, Odette, who is turned into a swan by curse. A prince happens upon the swan and falls in love with her, vowing his love for her. This vow, if kept, can relieve her of the curse. Sadly, the prince breaks his vow when he encounters her doppleganger (double) when presented with possible wives. Her double is the black swan, Odile: she looks just like Odette except she is dressed in black. The prince discovers the ruse too late and the broken vow dooms Odette to her cursed life as a swan. Broken hearted, the two decide to live together in eternal love instead–killing themselves by jumping into the lake. Swan Lake is a romantic, lonesome and mournful tragedy, and gives rise to theme that BTS use in their Black Swan imagery: the black swan doppleganger who is at once you and not you.
The film Black Swan (Darren Aronsofsky, 2010) is illustrative of his theme, and I believe the group may have been quite influenced by it when it comes to their imagery. In the film, ballet dancer Nina, who is starring in Swan Lake, is overcome by insecurity and jealousy regarding her understudy. And, she becomes convinced a doppleganger is following her. Nina is driven by her doubt to kill her understudy, or so she thinks. As Nina finishes an outstanding performance of the ballet, it’s revealed she has stabbed herself. She tells those around her she is free; Nina has finally released herself from her doppleganger, her doubt and dark thoughts–her black swan.
The lyrics of BTS’ black swan center on the possibility of losing yourself to your black swan. They speak of encountering a moment when music no longer moves you, your heart no longer beating with passion and you find yourself sinking deep to the ocean floor. This is punctuated by the lines of ‘killing me now’ and ‘film it now’–the juxtaposition showing us how expectant BTS are that the moments they lose themselves to the darkness will be immortalized and marketed. The contrast of ‘do your thang’ and ‘what’s my thang / tell me now’ also speak to an inner conflict of identity, despite how casual the lines may first appear.
so…I keep going crazy thinking about the parallels all over the place between the DNA video and the Serendipity video: space themes, the closeup of the eye, the space jimin is flying through even looks like the galaxy are in jungkooks eye, the talk in the lyrics about a love that is destiny in both songs, jimin in the white room with the yellow circle (the balloon and ball in serendipity/a yellow sun-looking circle in dna), sun/moon imagery, and “all of this is not a coincidence” is a lyric in both songs.
and now cut to years later and there is the black swan mma performance where it opens in space with an eclipse and I keep thinking about the eclipse in serendipity and then combining that with the story of swan lake and the imagery of jimin looking up from a circular light in a dark room in the vcr on map of the soul on:e concert (which goes with his solo dance there which looks like he’s struggling through water, and ends with him looking up like he’s trapped in some empty other realm..like odette) and then it connects to all the imagery for me of the BU storyline with jimin drowning….and then it circles back around to mma performance of jungkook waiting in a circular eclipse like lake fighting for jimin and them dancing together as the shadows try to take them down and…..i know that this is all incoherent but there are so many symbolic stories that feel connected to me and I love the way bts uses art…I don’t even know what to make of it all except that it is absolutely beautiful.

Merry Christmas, @sourwolfsparking!! <3
Wherein a young prince Derek, betrayed by his betrothed, falls into grief and isolation following the murder of his family. When a passing stranger comes to his palace doors asking for shelter, he coldly turns her away. The visitor – a druid of considerable power called Baccari – curses him for his cruelty. Recognizing the emptiness of his cold, bitter heart, she plucks a plant of wild wolfsbane from the earth and uses it for her spell, trapping him in the form of the Beast raging inside him. His servants, she spells into the shapes of inanimate objects, in the hopes that he will recognize how his cruelty affects those dependent on him.
However, she is not without mercy. She works her spell so that it will break once the prince’s heart is healed by learning to love and earn love once again… so long as he does so before the last flower from the wolfsbane plant falls.
Some few years later, in a nearby land, a young man named Stiles dreams of leaving his provincial town to find love and adventure…

Summary: Richie and Eddie daughter gets taken by pennywise. Richie and Eddie grieve.
warnings: this is really really sad
A/N: yeah so like i said above it’s really sad, it’s like complete angst.
The hallway sounds empty, and that frightens Eddie more than anything. He’s used to having Richie’s loud booming voice all throughout the house, and the giggling of their daughter as she laughs herself into hysterics.
After the show
“Well, he’s not wrong,” Richie smiles as he reads the message from his husband. Being on tour without Eddie can be hard sometimes, but moments like these make it all the more special and annoying.

Social Media AU - Richie Tozier comes out during a show
I decided that this AU works better with a written headcanon to go with it, and so I’ve included it underneath the cut. It’s a little rough because it’s been a LONG time since I sat down and properly wrote something, but I tried!
Enjoy!
Richie’s letter to older self
this is what the restaurant scene would’ve looked like if stan was there
“I think with Eddie, it’s frozen like that. It’s like when you’ve known someone forever. […] Or like when you get together with your siblings. You revert back, because your relationship’s been established at a certain age. There’s little moments where I tried to play that. [When The Losers Club has its first adult reunion] Richie might be in a place where he’s like, ‘I don’t really care about him anymore.’ And then he immediately gets smashed. He sees Eddie’s there. He’s like, 'Oh, yeah, feeling’s still there — I’m going to get drunk.’” —Bill Hader.
