Someone: Wow you’re so easy to talk to! I feel like our personalities fit so well together!
Me: thanks i made this one special just for you

Women: I would prefer to be with a man who doesn’t abuse me, isn’t an addict, doesn’t cheat, bathes Journalist: WHAT A BRUTAL LIST OF DEMANDS

Wow! Minimum standards of basic human decency is now “brutal” expectations!

Sometimes you need to remind yourself that you were the one who carried you through the heartache. You are the one who sits with the cold body on the shower floor, and picks it up. You are the one who feeds it, who clothes it, who tucks it into bed, and you should be proud of that. Having the strength to take care of yourself when the world is trying to bleed you dry, that is the strongest thing in the universe.

being in love with the process and not the results is one of the healthiest things in the world

in this same vein: being proud of yourself for the work and not the product brings so much more happiness

I loooove getting to know myself better. Love analyzing my dreams to read my subconscious’s dms. Love sitting alone in the bathtub and pleasantly introspecting. Love catching up w myself, seeing how her day is going!!

Dudes who still believe in that whole “nice guys finish last” bs are all convinced that their qualities are the reason why women aren’t attracted to them, as opposed to their flaws. “oh girls don’t like me because i’m nice, intelligent and respectable”. hm no? women aren’t attracted to you cause you’re awkward, boring, a know-it-all and probably mad annoying too. no amount of intelligence or faint niceness will overcome that.

so you dated the wrong person and learned a hard lesson. you chose the wrong major and had to start over again. you cherished a friend who backstabbed you. it sucks, but it’s also going to work out. that’s life; you learn, hurt, love, cry, laugh, and keep going. you experience setbacks and you grow and it’s all okay.
