Scott Neustadter, (500) Days of Summer: The Shooting Script (via feellng)

'By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the top I climbed the tree to see the world When the gusts came around to blow me down Held on as tightly as you held on me Held on as tightly as you held on me...... And I built a home for you for me Until it disappeared from me from you And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust........'
'I wish I could paint our love These moments and vibrant hues Wordplay, turns into gun play And gun play turns into pillow talk And pillow talk turns into sweet dreams Sweet dreams turns into coffee in the morning'
'What a waste of my day If I had it my way I'd roll out of bed Say bout 2:30 mid day Hit the blunt then hit you up to come over to my place You show up right away We make love and then we fuck And then you give me my space Hey'
'The moment we forgot we were just good friends, I moved my arm, her face went red again. One more bus home, another silent weekend. You said love was painted gold, Like all things growing old, The paint peels and slowly falls. You already know.'
This song makes me cry. Don't ask why. You should probably start listening to Explosions In The Sky if you like ambient and instrumental bands in general.
‘If you awaken from this illusion, and you understand that black implies white, self implies other, life implies death, you can feel yourself, not as a stranger in the world, not as something here on probation, not as something that has arrived here by flew, but you can begin to feel your own existence as absolutely nonmental. What you are basically, dig deep down, far, far in, is simply a fabric and structure of existence itself.’
No words to describe this track, it talks to me spiritually. (Not religiously okay, spiritually, they’re absolutely two different things.) So if you’re down for something like that, click on the link.
Probably one of my favorite songs ever, it's so short and so minimalist yet the lyrics hit me right in the spot—'it brought me to you, all the shit I went through.'
