“Shoot Out”

This is quite possibly my FAVORITE episode of all time.

So much hurt & comfort. And guys, THE SLASH IS SO INTENSE IN THIS ONE… I can barely handle it.

This is the one where Starsky & Hutch go on a date to an Italian restaurant, get mixed up in an assassination attempt, become hostages, and Starsky ends up with a bullet in the back. Oh, yeah and Hutch needs to figure out a way out of the predicament.

I LOVE THIS EPISODE!! I don’t think I made that clear enough yet. Lol.

My deep, deep love for this ep is actually kind of funny, because I absolutely hated it the first time I saw it. Of course, that was also twelve years ago, just after the first Season had been released on DVD, and, quite frankly, I don’t think my seventeen year-old brain was ready for that much awesomeness…

I love Hutch in this ep. He is so endearing with his worry over injured Starsky & he’s so gentle with him. *Oh the feelings!!!*

This is the first episode where one of the boys refers to the other as “babe” *dies*

Injured Starsky spends the whole episode actively seeking out Hutch’s physical presence for comfort. *dies again*

AND in the tag scene of this episode Huggy reveals Starsky’s middle name as Michael.

I could go on and on about his episode, but I won’t. If you haven’t seen it then you need to watch it. SERIOUSLY, STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND WATCH IT NOW! :)

I could have quoted this ENTIRE episode, but I restrained myself. Even so, there are a TON of quotes here… - Hutch: (To Starsky) You know you get pretty scary when you get mad. - Starsky: Hey, what about tonight?

Hutch: Why don’t we come back to my place, we can scramble up some eggs?

Starsky: Hey, dinner. Not breakfast. What about some Italian food?

Hutch: Nah, I wanna go home. That and the rain. **How are they NOT married??!** - Starsky: Hey, I told you, you’d like his place. Do ya know what it reminds me of?

Hutch: Yeah… The restaurant your grandmother yousta live over when you were a kid. Starsky: How’d you know that?

Hutch: Starsky, every time we walk into an Italian restaurant it reminds you of the restaurant your grandmother lived over when you were a kid. - Grovner: Stay where you are.

Hutch: I don’t care what your business is here tonight. I’m going to my partner. - Hutch: (To Starsky) It’s okay, buddy. I’m right here. - Starsky: Oh, Hutch. I feel sick. - Theresa: (To Hutch) I think he needs you. Hutch: (To Starsky) Hey buddy, how you feeling, huh? Starsky: Hu-tch… Hey (As he reaches out to his partner) Hutch: Yeah, babe. Right here. - Hutch: How’s your arm, huh?

Starsky: It’s fine. Hey, didya get the bad guys?

Hutch: I think we still got them with us…

Starsky: Terrific

Hutch: You sure your arm’s alright? - Hutch: Hey, buddy, look what I got. (Showing Starsky the gun)

Starsky: Last go around, huh?

Hutch: Yeah. From what understand this gun is liable to go off in my face as anything.

Starsky: Well, you always did want an excuse to get your teeth capped.

Hutch: You know something, you look terrible.

Starsky: Don’t let me fool you. I payed Camille in high school. - Starsky: Hey, Hutch

Hutch: Yeah?

Starksy: (With tears in his eyes) I was just kidding about the teeth.

Hutch: Yeah

Starsky: See ya

*crying and crying and crying* Omg this is my MOST FAVOURITE EPISODE in Starsky and Hutch! Thank you soooo much for writing their’s line! And I totally sympathize with your impression about this episode ;)

I'm going to watch it again, and really pay attention to what they're saying!!
