This Restaurant Offers Food For Free If You Can’t Afford It

Just adding: that’s an Islam flag there and when I worked for a semester at a Mosque as part of a cultural exchange, the Imam told me that if there are hungry people within walking distance, then they are failing their duties.

I carry that with me always. Feed your neighbours.

i haaaate hate hate those "goblincore/gremlincore amazon finds ! must have from amazon !" youtube videos like???? Goblincore is anti capitalist. Make your own stuff. Buy from artists. Recycle. Fuck amazon.

Anyway.

the moment I saw "goblincore" colouring books, I knew we were in for it

I don't need to be hand-fed my own interests thank you. I'll scrape them off the streets myself, like any other self respecting gob

goblincore is punk at it’s heart

Sense of place is very much a thing in goblincore - all my best finds are garbage or bones I found while exploring my city on foot. Thrift or art would function similarly as both require some legwork or community to find things you like. It’s anti capitalist and punk not just because it’s anti consumerist, but because a connection to a unique geographic identity/community is required for goblincore to function, in contrast to the efficient conformance necessary in mass production.

Side note, I wonder if this is why urbanism is so viciously fought in the hyper-capitalist US.

i’m crying laughing about this

This is so stupid like why do these people always think they're gonna need to explain everything to their kids? Just say some bullshit like "well sometimes. People write weird shit on the walls."

I think I'm a lifelong cryptid enthusiast because I'm nearsighted. Like what do you mean the Zapruder film isn't crystal clear. That's how bigfoot would look to me anyway.

I MEANT THE PATTERSON-GIMLIN FILM. NOT THE ZAPRUDER FILM. THERE IS NO BIGFOOT SIGHTING IN THE FOOTAGE OF PRESIDENT KENNEDY'S DEATH. I'M SO SORRY.

I just saw a story on AO3 tagged "pet p!ay"

TIK TOK MUST BE STOPPED BEFORE IT DESTROYS LANGUAGE

Ok, unless something's going on I'm not aware of (extremely likely), I gotta point out the term "Pet Play" is significantly older than Tik Tok, or most of its userbase for that matter.

Avatar

Yeah, I'm not mad about using the term "pet play". That's a perfectly fine term. I'm mad because they didn't use that term: they used "pet p!ay", a censored version

Oh. Oh gawd I missed that. Objection withdrawn, that is objectively terrible.

To anybody who is new to posting on ao3, if you’re using a tag you have to use the correct spelling of that tag. People aren’t going to type in every version of a censored word to hide or look for your content

For everyone new to tumblr, the same rule applies to tumblr too.

You cannot censor your tags! Censored tags cannot be block or filtered. Censoring tags HARMS your audience, it does not protect them

Just to say that this is the work of the UK-based artist @foragedfibres (instagram, Facebook) and that she often uses native British plants that she collects without damaging the environment, like dandelion stems, flag iris, English Ivy, etc. She also uses plants that behave invasively, like bindweed. But in general she is using indigenous UK plants that are overlooked and/or unwanted, and harvesting them ethically.

If you can't wash it off, paint over it, replace the item, or buff it out, turn a message of hate into one of love! I would never condone someone to do this discreetly and in mere seconds with a quickly concealed permanent marker, for example on a public bench or bus stop. Certainly not anything like whipping out a tat machine and adding to an unconscious white supremacist's existing tattoo. That would be illegal! :) And, dear followers, I would never encourage you to do something that's illegal. So, please only use this when someone has defaced your personal property to avoid breaking the law! Because that would be illegal, and following in the law is always in everyone's best interest. :) .... :) reblogs and even reposts definitely welcome

Not seeing many mention this, but I want to point something very important out about the new FNAF trailer especially, in case you haven't noticed...

You see these guys? This is not cgi. These are actually fully-created animatronics developed by the crew at Jim Henson's Creature Shop.

These things were purposefully designed to look as close as possible to their video game versions, and to be as absolutely unsettling as the well-known 90s animatronic versions of Chuck E. Cheese and the Rock-afire Explosion.

Clearly, they pulled this off phenomenally well for this film!

These designs are intricate while also staying very close to the original character designs seen in the games, which proves how dedicated the team behind this movie really is about making a true-to-itself FNAF film! Seeing the quality on display here in just this first official trailer gives me some very high hopes for what we'll get to see in the movie once it comes out this October!
