i DID actually while i was looking up owls a while back oh MAN they have incredible faces, like some kinda confused ghost who ended up in a bird and now just has to live with it
looks like they come in lesser and greater sooty flavors, and theyre both pretty similar except for their sizes (about 43 cm for the greater, 37 for the lesser)
theyre like someone took a barn owl and just lowered the brightness, threw some speckles in there, made their eyes a direct portal to the infinite nightmarish abyss, called it a day
the YOUNG SOOTY OWLS on the other hand dont even look like real animals. they look like someone made a dodo out of felt and accidentally left it in a dryer. owls are great

it is really hard to find the motivation to write when I have watched writers on this website BEG readers to reblog for months. and the ratio of likes to reblogs continues to drop month to month. you all are not listening.
I’m not saying likes aren’t appreciated…they are. but it really sucks to watch a fic that you’re proud of get a few, a dozen, a hundred, a thousand notes that are mostly likes alone.
it leaves you to wonder how much feedback you’d be getting if even half of the amount of people that were liking the fic were also reblogging it.

fuck your “blog aesthetic.” fuck any excuse in the book. fan artists and writers are, for the most part, doing this for free so you can continue to enjoy your favorite fandoms/blorbos.
