Finally finished my second coyote skull, I'm talking about skulls that are mine of course
This one was given to me at the taxidermy workshop where I work, he was shot in the head so it was cracked but it's still beautiful and I think the cracks give it character
Baby and juvenile coyote skulls. Mixed dentition / double canines on the juvie!
Rodent skull coffin box. Made by me. It has been in my shop for a while now and definitely needs to find a forever home! If Interested message me!
Finally got around to degreasing and whitening this incredible pathological raccoon skull I bought a while back.
Poor critter suffered from some extremely gnarly damage to one eye socket and the top of the skull. Whatever caused the injury pretty much obliterated that eye socket though the bone did heal and reform. One of the molars was even pushed out of place. Definitely the most deformed raccoon skull I’ve ever worked on.
Sadly it was boiled before I got it so the bone is a bit fragile in some areas but I’m pretty happy with how it cleaned up in the end. Here’s what it looked like before:
I cleaned this one up a bit degreasing a little then a short dip in peroxide. Still discoloured so I might just leave it in the window a while.
And finally a beak sheath spruce up

idk if I’ve ever posted the beauchêne rabbit skull I made last here here? The base was a rich brown but I’m painting it black to match my decor a little better
made a 2nd mouse skeleton last week, the chap on the right!

I'm having some slight regrets that I didn't go with Pitcher Plants for this.
A somewhat better pic of the new kid, it was getting late in the day and I was shakey with the camera …
(nfs small mouse skeleton, preserved with the oxidation technique)
I'm just loving working on this, here's a giraffe skull I have to repair
They broke it up at customs and it has a few loose pieces, just a filthy job with remnants of cartilage and tissue everywhere, the delicate structures are gone and there are orange grease stains, you can feel all the oil that has oozed from the bone to the touch, personally it is a pain in the soul to see a skull like this in this shape :(
Since they want it soon I can't do much for it, just wash it with degreasing soap to remove the oil from the surface, repair the broken jaw and glue the loose parts
Hopefully one day I get a chance to clean one right from the start, it would be my 9th symphony
More dye/staining work to come, but here's where things are at after round one💀☕
ID: Cat skulls + jaws x3, raccoon femurs x3
I cleaned this amphiuma skull for my college’s specimen collection. The animal was found dead in the woods by another student and donated.
