do you ever think about how we (generation 1985–1996) had all the freedom in the world to be cringy and pretentious on the internet? there was no generation above us with enough internet literacy to make fun of us. we had it all. dashcon, “i’m not like other girls”, rage comics, these were all displays of our generation’s unfettered ownership over the internet. but now kids younger than us are making posts, tweeting, tiktokking etc and get met with vicious criticism and mockery from their elders. the word cringe is weaponized against them. “you’re going in my cringe compilation” isn’t just a funny meme, it’s kinda real for that generation.. one misstep and you’ll be immortalized on the internet for the laughter of older people for a long time. meanwhile our generation got to be insufferable babies in peace? let these kids have the same freedom damn..

I feel like a lot of people don’t want to ask questions they have about gender/sexuality to LGBT people because they don’t want to offend them because we talk about cishet people asking stupid or intrusive questions a lot

But actually when you’re questioning it’s really helpful to be able to ask some ‘stupid’ questions although you’re too afraid to

So can y'all LGBTQIA+ people reblog this if you’re totally fine with people asking questions about your gender/sexuality, as long as they do so respectfully

Stupid is timeless.

I’m that lady who’s just FEELING it

tbh cables were like that and safety precautions weren’t hard set in yet

Oh wow this is horrifying

Holy shit
