I just learened that there is an animal called a killder. and its an ten inch long brownish, roundish, plover, with absolutley nothing special about it.
listen,,, killdeer are common here and they are absolutely INFAMOUS birds!
they lay their eggs directly on the ground in rocky areas instead of building a nest, which can be a problem when one sets up in a red lobster parking lot or something. and when their eggs are threatened, the mother killdeer will attempt to run interference and protect her children by luring a predator away, usually by loudly and dramatically faking a broken wing!
she'll flop around on the ground thrashing in pretend agony with one wing sticking out, all while screaming "OH NO I AM STRICKEN GOLLY GEE I SURE HOPE THIS PREDATOR DOESN'T TRY TO FOLLOW ME AWAY FROM THIS AREA, FOR NON-SPECIFIC REASONS" in Bird. she'll fuss and flutter and gradually lead you away from where her babies are before pulling a quick PSYCH SUCKER and flying away when she judges you're far enough from the eggs/chicks.

Oh yep, as a kid, I totally harassed killdeer as a kid just to figure out where their nests were so I could make sure they didn’t get run over by the mower! They would sometimes nest in our gravel drive way, so I made my parents drive Around their nests.
Did you also know they have separate displays for ‘potential predators’ and ‘big clumsy herbivores that might squash their nest accidentally?’ The first display involves the ‘broken wing’ drama, but the second display involved charging the large herbivore (usually a cow, in my area), and flashing their wings in a startling way to try to scare the herbivores away!
We had one of these nest right in the wildlife center parking lot. Had to direct traffic around it. The mother was doing the threat display to CARS

Saturday, February 13th: Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who’s in desperate need of help. I've had to remake this, as I still need help and I'm become a bit ill from the flu and need medicine.
As most of you are already aware, I have been struggling financially for quite some time due to my welfare benefits being under a review, which is due to my worsening mental health and the UK’s controversial changes to how benefits are assessed and assigned. And at the moment, I'm currently struggling to get by, as I don't receive my U.C benefit until the end of the month, and I am still awaiting the outcome of my PIP assessment (March 2021 at the latest)
I'm completely heartbroken to keep asking for help, but I still desperately need some as I don't have anyone else to turn to, and I really need to keep my utilities/heating on as it's now between -6 /-12°c here and getting colder. (Goal £200)
If anyone could send me £10/£20 for my gas/electricity meters or a little more to help me get flu medicine + groceries to do me til the end of the month, it would literally save my life, and sharing definitely helps just as much as donations.
