You don’t have to have a heart to know that Hart Hanson is a visionary.
This is really how most DND encounters get solved, honestly

I accept this as canon.
I’m putting off actually finishing tears of the kingdom to check some side quests off and explore some caves and I’m wondering about the in-universe reason Link is putting off fighting Ganondorf. My best guess is that he doesn’t want to return to his day job because with Zelda gone he’s the only remaining person left from Hyrule’s previous government and he doesn’t like talking he can’t do politics and establish a new government why did the monarch go and disappear like that I mean really she’s supposed to do the talking he’s just the guy with the sword he never asked for any of this “diplomacy” nonsense he’s just gonna keep hunting for mushrooms for a bit the demon king can wait
For me my initial thought was
he learned from last time, the moment she’s back Zelda is going to start dragging him all over the place to finish the to-do list that’s been piling up in her absence so if he ever wants to get HIS to-do list done, it has to be before the big fight.
his to-do list primarily consists of an very intense game of hide and seek, collecting his ancestors clothing that someone stole and hid in caves, and feeding a man rocks vomited up by magic frogs. Those are very important tasks, thank you.
If you assume that he knows that he and Zelda are the main characters he knows there’s probably gonna be a deus ex machina way to save her at the end and he’s too much of a knight to say no to a reigning monarch so he’s gotta get some stuff done before she shows back up because believe it or not there are some major disadvantages to being Hylia’s pet swordsman. She’s incredibly hyperactive and difficult to babysit.
