Voltron on Cupcake Wars HC’s

- Coran would DEFINITELY be the host

- Allura and Zarkon would be the main judges, and some random alien can be the guest judge

- Lance and Keith argue a lot over decorations and usually run out of time

- Hunk and Pidge are a force to be reckoned with

- On special occasions when Pidge teams up with Matt, that is an even GREATER force to be reckoned with

- Shiro and Matt team up most of the time though

- Hunk is the best at decorations and the loudest in the kitchen (and wins most of the time)

- Keith always gets frustrated over getting the ingredients right and starts from scratch when one TINY thing is missing

- Lance usually coming up with the best ideas for the display

- Pidge always remembers exactly what they did wrong and what they need to change for the next round

- Hunk crying and quickly getting it together when the competition’s ingredients turn out completely savory

- Shiro staying the most calm when something goes wrong

- Coran and Allura making the most cheerful banter as everyone screams in the background

- Zarkon putting the most pressure on the contestants to get the next batch right

- Lance remembering dropping an entire tray of cupcakes once and still can’t live it down

A theory about why Keith was abandoned:

Ok so we always take Keith’s side when he talks about being abandoned and we usually blame his mom of course, by have you ever stopped to think about how maybe, she never actually meant to hurt him and only did it to protect him from Zarkon?

Think about it, if Keith’s Mom had actually stayed with them 3 things could’ve happened:

1. Zarkon would find them, invade Earth and destroy the human race

2. Zarkon would find them and kill Keith and his mom (number 1 is more likely but whatever)

3. The government would find them, taking Keith and his mom hostage and doing experiments on them (or kill them both) and killing his dad and anyone else who knows about them.

Whether or not she (Keith’s Mom) worked for Zarkon she’s still galra and there’s a very high chance she knew exactly what he would do to her son if she stayed any longer. Also Galran are capable of emotions and loving (Ex: Varkon wanting to make Zarkon proud, Varkon with his paladin dolls, and that galra soldier who worked for Zarkon but he had a passion for something else but I forgot what it was oops.) Point is, even galra soldiers of Zarkon have emotions so why is Keith’s Mom any different? This is her son, of course she wants what’s best for him. If leaving him means he’ll be safe for good I’m sure any mother would take the chance.

The only flaw with this theory (that I can think of), why didn’t Keith’s Dad say anything sooner? If Keith’s Mom left wouldn’t she at least tell his dad that she’s doing this for his own good? Obviously Keith has mommy issues so it wouldn’t be crazy if he ever asked his dad “hey why don’t I have a mom where is she.” Clearly, Keith’s Dad never told him on his own, only giving him the knife with no real explanation of why his mom left, so if she did leave for his own good she probably never told Keith’s Dad. Also, maybe the reason Keith was abandoned by his dad was because Keith was a constant reminder that the possible love of his life left him? Tell me what you think.

Ok, how come no one talks about this

For some reason, no one ever seems to wonder how Lance got accepted to the garrison in the first place.

Clearly this isn’t some normal school in the future, it’s a school you have to be accepted into for your intelligence (“It is my brains that got me into the garrison after all” - Matt) And while my baby boy is hella smart, think about the fact that he failed all of his training simulations. He never passed a single ONE. If he did he would’ve definitely remembered or at least mention it to Pidge when she claims he’s failed all of them. Also, he got into trouble very often at the garrison (“All your little adventures always end up with me in the principals office!” - Hunk)

Let me remind you, the garrison doesn’t take bullshit. Keith, one of the best fighter pilots the garrison has EVER had, was kicked out due to disciplinary issues. That’s it. As far as we know, Keith never had any other problems with the garrison and was only kicked out because of one. So tell me why in the hell, would they be so kind to Lance when he’s failed every simulation and constantly gets into trouble. They have no reason not to kick him out-

Unless, he was related to someone there.

Personally, as someone who’s relative works at their school this has saved my ass a lot. Of course I don’t do anything as extreme as Lance, but my grades would be at least a little bit lower (my aunt has no control over my grades but she has printed papers for me at the last minute, something my school wouldn’t just let slide by anyone)

So yeah, being related to someone who works at your school has a slight advantage. For Lance, who seems like he would put little to no effort in academics compared to the rest of his teammates, having a relative who works at the garrison (who possibly got him accepted in the first place) makes a lot of sense. The school has no other reason not to have dropped him sooner.

I’m not saying he’s related to Iverson specifically, so make of this what you will and tell me what you think of my little theory.

(For the record, I am in no way calling Lance stupid or reckless. He’s one of my favorite, if not my favorite character on the show. I’m just being realistic because if I’m not my theory wouldn’t actually make sense, but yeah I love Lance and thought I’d like to add a little more to his backstory.)
